What a lovely day! Sarah was outstanding: friendly, personable, knowledgeable, flexible. She was a delight and the tour was amazing! We were intrigued with the scenery and learning about the San Andreas Fault. The off-roading was a treat, and the terrain amazing. We learned so much and had such a great day. Sarah took care of our every need. We’ve used Big Wheel Tours before and once again were very pleased with their SUV and the service. Highly recommend this informational and relaxing tour. It’s the perfect balance of time in the car, opportunities to walk about and see the terrain, and timely restroom breaks. Having water and snacks available also helped make the tour enjoyable.

Sara(h) met us promptly and was enthusiastic from the get-go! She was well versed in the region's geology and shared fascinating facts about the fault lines and other features of the area. She brought us to a hidden slot canyon that gave us a wonderful hike through narrow passages that included some challenging ladder climbs along the way. She routinely asked for our comfort levels and always offered options of turning around or continuing, to which we always chose to journey on. There were bathroom breaks at the beginning and end of the adventure, along with provided water and snacks. This company focuses on customer service, education and fun! Thank you Sara(h)!!!

Ron, our guide was extremely knowledgeable and helped make the experience memorable for us. We never felt rushed and he was quick to point out all the sights. Fees were reasonable and the tour length was just right.

Our tour was great and very educational. We enjoyed all the areas we visited. Gale provided thorough information on the Coachella Valley, the Salton Sea, and each location. The four hours passed quickly, just the right amount of time to see a variety of geological features spread over the Valley. Well worth the cost. The walks were easy to moderate, we did not have hiking boots and were fine.

This experience was so wonderful. Our guide, Sarah, was very knowledgeable of desert geology (fault line and tectonic plates processes) and points of interest in the Coachella Valley. We’d like to give a shoutout to her for making our experience so special!

Ron was our guide and he was great. He was so knowledgeable and we learned so much about the desert, the native plants and how the faults have impacted water tables and mountains. We went off roading and saw so much. Really made us appreciate the wonders of the desert. Thank you Ron!

Really great experience with this tour. Sarah was friendly, knowledgable, and did a nice job taking my wife and me on this tour. We met at the Big Wheel bike place by 8:00am and were back by 12:30. Sarah knew of a nice slot canyon hike of which most people are unaware, and that was a lot of fun. We highly recommend this sperience..
