We only had one day to see San Francisco. Our tour guide Per packed so much into this one-day tour, from the GG Bridge, to a hike in Muir Woods, to lunch in Sausalito overlooking the bay. Incredibly, we had a clear sunny day in February and our views were stunning. The tour drops you at the pier, where we caught the ferry to Alcatraz. Per was a teacher in a past life and his commentary was both informative and entertaining. He also provided great San Francisco movie trivia along with terrific music. I highly recommend this tour.

Great Experience with very knowledgeable guide (Per). Given enough time at the key viewing spots for photo session and recommended good food options in Sausalito.

We took the One Day in San Francisco, Muir Woods and Sausalito tour with Dylan's Tours in January and all I can say is if we ever get back to the city by the Bay, we'll be taking this tour again. We started out from their office in the North Hill district and toured through the city's Italian neighborhood, Chinatown, Billionaire's Row through to the Mrs. Doubtfire House, past the Paimted Ladies to the Presidio and to the Golden Gate Bridge. We stopped at the bridge for some photo ops and then drove across it en route to the Muir Woods National Monument. We enjoyed 90 minutes at Muir Woods, basking in the beouty of the giant Redwoods. In spite of me temporaritly using a cane for assistance walking, the pathways through the trees (some literally through the trees) are wooden and well-maintained for those with reduced walking stability. The size of the trees takes your breath away. There are a variety of paths catering to those with mobility issues, and if you need a rest, you can stop in at the store/coffee shop to pick up a souvenir and then sit on the patio with a beverage while taking in the sights and sounds of nature. Patrick was our guide and the driver of our tour bus that seated maybe 20 people or so. Frankly, we would be uncomfortable riding a larger bus because the roads leading to Muir Woods are rather narrow and winding. In Muir Woods, everyone wandered on their own for the full time before meeting back at the bus. Patrick regaled us with stories of the sights we were passing as well as stories of local history. He also played music trivia games with us covering decades of the San Francicso (don't call it Frisco or SanFran) music scene. It was great fun. After Muir Woods we drove over to Sausalito where we spent another 90 minutes on the other side of San Francisco Bay, stopping for lunch and enjoying the sights. On the trip back to the tour office we saw different areas of San Francisco, giving us a complete view of the city. A day very well spent. Big thanks to Patrick and Liam!

I just completed a Muir Woods tour with Dylan’s Tours, and it was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. Our tour guide, Barry, truly made the experience special. Barry was incredibly easygoing, engaging, and impressively knowledgeable. He shared fascinating history and stories about San Francisco and Muir Woods National Monument in a way that felt natural and enjoyable—not rushed or scripted. The tour offered so much more than just Muir Woods. Along the way, we drove by iconic and charming areas including the Golden Gate Bridge, Chinatown, Little Italy, North Beach, and The Embarcadero, along with several other quaint neighborhoods. Barry provided rich historical context and interesting details for each area, which really brought the city to life. If you’re looking for a tour that’s informative, relaxed, and thoughtfully curated, I highly recommend Dylan’s Tours—and if you’re lucky enough to get Barry as your guide, you’re in for a fantastic experience.

The trip was very enjoyable, and the tour guide (Brandon) was excellent. He shared great and useful information about the city. The itinerary was well planned, especially the lunch in the Cisilito area. His restaurant recommendations there were fantastic, and his choice of clean restrooms along the way was a great and thoughtful addition. Note: Make sure to bring cash for tipping, and you will need to pay an entrance fee to access the reserve.
