Our excursion is departing from Valencia city to discover the largest underground river in Europe declared a world heritage site by UNESCO.
An amazing underground labyrinth where the magic of nature comes to life. Stalactites and stalagmites intertwine in a stone dance, while vast rooms reveal the grandeur hidden beneath our feet.
You will: discover the origins of the caves, witness their evolution throughout the years, and behold the breathtaking views of the Sierra de Espadán Natural Park.
We will pick you up from the meeting points in Valencia and right after we will start our adventure driving to ''la Vall d'Uixò''.
After the visit inside the caves (1 hr approx) we will have 30 minutes free time to discover an Iberian Roman settlement (that has incredible views of the region), drink something, have a brunch or just take a rest at the natural area.

If your booking is a last minute one (made it from 07:30 p.m.-07:30 a.m.) your meeting point will be TORRES DE SERRANOS
The schedule is approximated, we will send a WhatsApp message with all the collection details one day before. Please write a correct phone number (if the phone number is invalid, we are not responsible of missing information) in case you don't have Whatsapp the activity provider will send an email through Viator.
If you do not leave the information of your favorite pick-up point, we will automatically assign you: Torres de Serranos.
Being late is not our responsability.
The duration of the activity (from the collection until we return from the caves) is 4h.
We will not bathe in the river in this activity.
Inside the caves there is a constant annual temperature of 20ºC.
You will have 30 minutes of free time to use bathrooms, bars and shops or just for relaxing at the area.
You can take your own food/drinks. But is not allowed to eat inside the bus.
You have included the transportation to go and return (same pick up point)
If you check out from your hotel, you can take your luggage with you. You must notify us to guarantee space.
You will be accompanied by an official guide (from Valencia&Go) who will tell you the essential you need to know about Valencia, as well as all the secrets that are hidden inside the Cuevas de San José, its incredible history and curiosities in detail (English and Spanish). Besides, on the boat tour you will go with a guide-boatman who will guide you along the way and will point out some key spots of the natural wonder. (could be in Spanish). If you have any questions, you can always ask the official Valencia & Go guide, he will be willing to answer them when you leave the caves.
For your safety: you can take photos only in designated areas. To protect the cave fauna, flash photography is not allowed.
For this regular tour, pickup at Trasmed-Grimaldi, Moll de Ponent, Poblados Marítimos, 46024 Puerto de Valencia is not available, as this meeting point is exclusive to a different product.

We were taken to the San Jose Caves and she made sure we got there in time to enjoy some shopping and a cup of coffee and snack before the tour started. It was a relaxing tour in a boat. 3.00We signed up for an English tour and only had English on Bus. Once we got on the boat tour thru the cave it was all Spanish so we learned nothing. Very beautiful views, but disappointed in the tour.

4.00There is a small restaurant, a playground for kids, and 2 gift shops at the site of the caves and nothing else. Your cave tour start time is preset, so you may have to wait. If you want to kayak, you have to do the evening tours. The earlier tours are very full boats. Once aboard the boat, you will wait a while for your turn to float through the river. It was not very busy in November, but there was still a wait. The summer must be crazy-busy. There are no photos allowed for most of the trip in the pretty locations. They will sell you a photo at the entrance for 6 euro. The tour guides were great. Joachim made it fun. They will not pick up at the port unless the van is filled with just cruise passengers. You will have to catch the van downtown if there are only a couple of you.

5.00Ferran was an excellent tour guide! He picked me up in an easy to get to spot and was very welcoming and friendly. I was on a solo journey and I didn't feel alone at all in the group. Fernan gave everyone in the van wonderful history of the areas we passed through as we were on our way to the caves which I truly appreciated. Once we got to the caves we had a little free time to grab a snack and use the restroom. The cave experience was wonderful and awe inspiring. I really loved that Ferran came on the boat with us because the boat operator didn't speak English and he translated everything so we didn't miss out on learning about the caves. You must do this excursion, it is an awesome experience!

5.00A great tour, easy pick up instructions, nice clean van and good driver. Our guide Alex did a great job of filling us in on some of the sights around Seville and offering tips and recommendations, very helpful and friendly. Visiting the caves was a unique experience and we were lucky enough to have a boat man who was able to speak pretty good English. An easy way to get to the caves and through them early before the crowds.
