This pintxos tour in San Sebastian immerses you in the city’s food culture through a guided walk in the Old Town. Led by a local guide, the experience includes eight pintxos* ranging from classic signature creations to contemporary bites, all made with seasonal products. Each tasting is paired with five drinks: three wines from different Spanish Denominations of Origin, Basque cider, and a traditional local liqueur (non-alcoholic options available).
Between stops, the tour reveals historic squares, centuries-old churches, and lively streets shaped by everyday local life, enriched with stories, anecdotes, and practical tips to continue exploring independently. Designed for small groups the experience combines the best of a gastronomic tour with the informal, social spirit of pintxos culture. The bars were perfectly chosen, the pintxos were delicious, and the explanations about traditions and how locals eat made the experience feel truly authentic. Iker made the tour fun, personal, and easy to follow, and we left full, happy, and confident to explore pintxo bars on our own. Highly recommended!

5.00Julen was prompt, fun, funny, and very knowledgeable about local history, traditions, and customs. He has forged good relationships with the propietors of the bars/restaurants we went to -- we were welcomed enthusiastically. We enjoyed our time with Julen and recommend his tours. He provided us with useful tips for our own pintxos explorations like the best and most interesting pintxos are the ones made to order from the menu board.

5.00Went to 5 places and had pintxo at each one. There were 3 of us so we usually got 3 different ones and shared. We also received the drink of our choice at each location? Josu taught us about pintxos and welcomed our questions. His English was quite good. His personal style was upbeat, thoughtful and encouraging. We would definitely go on another tour with him if we were here longer.

5.00Tour started right on time - so already off to a good start! But then the food - OMG! Some of the best pintxos I had were on this tour. Also glad I had Josu as my tour guide - he was super cool and would always answer my (multiple) questions with genuine enthusiasm.
