This tour is not recommended for children under 15 years of age due to busy, crowded bars and the alcohol focus of this tour. For safety and logistical reasons, guests with very young children or strollers may be refused participation in this tour
Guests with serious food allergies will need to sign an allergy waiver at the start of the tour
Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments or with wheelchairs, or strollers.
This tour is adaptable for: Vegetarians, Pescatarians, gluten free (not celiac), dairy free, Non-alcoholic options & Pregnant women, but please note that you may not have a replacement food option at every stop. Not recommended for Vegans.
We will be standing up in all the bars, in true Basque style.

What To Expect
A traditional bar awaits as your first stop of the evening. Specializing in mussels, you’ll taste a variety of these along with a Basque cider. Get acquainted with the art of pouring your drink from a height and learn about a cultural phenomenon unique to the area.

This may not be a pintxos bar – but this specialty store is full of Basque and Spanish products that are must-tries. You’ll sample some of their famous cured Iberian ham. In fact, you’ll try not one, but two varieties and get an education into the difference between them.

5.00Our guide Gorko was great. We did the tour on our first evening in SS and it was the right call. Not only the chance to visit some classic venues but also some lesser known the food was amazing, the drinks were wonderful and the 3 hours flew by. Most importantly, as visitors to SS, we learned what is ok and what isn’t. Great tour

5.00This was a perfect way to start a short holiday in San Sebastián. From an easy meeting point, the tour meanders the beautiful streets of the old town, stopping at a well-curated set of bars that provided us with the perfect introduction to the pintxos culture. The pintxos were exquisite from mussels in a spiced tomato sauce, via unique patatas bravas, to wonderful squid ink croquettas ending with the “true Basque cheescake” (La Vina Cheesecake - look it up!). All were washed down with local cider (poured correctly from height to aerate), sparkling wine, rioja and a sherry. The real joy was to do this while learning about the history of Donostia and the proud Basque culture. We had the most wonderful guide (Gorka) whose fluency, eloquence, knowledge and humour cemented the success of the tour. I am sure all the guides are great, but Gorka was outstanding.

5.00We had Sandra as our guide. First of all San Sebastian is beautiful! We had the best pintxos of any location we had tried!! From pork cheeks to vegetarian options. I would highly recommend this food tour.

5.00Devour tour with out unbelievable tour guide Amelia was incredible. Along with the history of the basque region she provided us with a delicious exposure to 8 pintxos and 4 different wine/ cider pairings. The group was small enough to provide the personal touch of answering questions and allowed for interaction with our guide. I would highly recommend the experience and the entry into old town San Sebastián ! The peak of our trip!
