Come with us on a fun-filled evening at San Sebastian’s pintxos headquarters, the Old Town, where we’ve carefully chosen the best bites the city has to offer, hidden in plain sight. As we go, we’ll teach you what to do—and what not to do. Where to go and where not to!

This tour is not recommended for children under 15 years of age due to busy, crowded bars and the alcohol focus of this tour. For safety and logistical reasons, guests with very young children or strollers may be refused participation in this tour
Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments or with wheelchairs, or strollers.
Guests with serious food allergies will need to sign an allergy waiver at the start of the tour
This tour is adaptable for: Vegetarians, Pescatarians, gluten free (not celiac), dairy free, Non-alcoholic options & Pregnant women, but please note that you may not have a replacement food option at every stop. Not recommended for Vegans.

What To Expect
We’ll start at a bar that’s been a local favorite since the 1970s. Here you’ll try a selection of the best mussels in town with dry Basque cider. Master pouring cider from a height straight into your glass and learn all about the cultural phenomenon of “TXOTX!” This traditional stop will be your first introduction into what going out for pintxos really means in San Sebastian.
Next, you’ll dive into the fascinating world of Spain’s most famous delicacy: cured Iberian ham. We’ll introduce you to a family-run gem stocked with Basque and Spanish gourmet products. Try two of the most-renowned (and most expensive) cured hams especially chosen by our friend Sylvain. By the time we leave, you’ll have an understanding of the differences between them—and a favorite!

5.00Best idea to do this at the start of our trip. Our guide, Lily, was full of great information explaining some local cultural things that set us up well for the rest of the trip. The bars we visited were local which was appreciated, each with their own story. Would highly recommended this tour.

5.00The Devour Tours Pintxos & Wine tour is a great way to spend your first day in San Sebastiian and get acquianted with some of the best of the local pinxto bars. Although there are hundreds, is not thousands of these bars in San Sebestian, the tour was able to cover several classic dishes, with Lily our guide doing a great job of sharing some background on the food and bars, along with some of the history of the town and invaluable tips for the rest of the trip. We stopped at 5 different restaurants and I was surprised at how full I felt at the end of the tour - the organisers definitely don't skimp on the food like some other tours I have been on. Overall would highly recommend.

5.00What a fabulous evening with Amaia! (Devour tours) We wandered through beautiful Old Town and feasted on the most delicious Pintxos. Amaia picked just a wonderful array of Pintxos for us to try. And paired with delicious wines. It would have been a little overwhelming if we had tried this on our own. We had our food and drink brought right to us. A table and seats also immediately available to our group. Amaia was so very kind, gracious and friendly. A perfect way to spend an evening in beautiful San Sebastián!
