Come with us on a fun-filled evening at San Sebastian’s pintxos headquarters, the Old Town, where we’ve carefully chosen the best bites the city has to offer, hidden in plain sight. As we go, we’ll teach you what to do—and what not to do. Where to go and where not to!

This tour is not recommended for children under 15 years of age due to busy, crowded bars and the alcohol focus of this tour. For safety and logistical reasons, guests with very young children or strollers may be refused participation in this tour
Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments or with wheelchairs, or strollers.
Guests with serious food allergies will need to sign an allergy waiver at the start of the tour
This tour is adaptable for: Vegetarians, Pescatarians, gluten free (not celiac), dairy free, Non-alcoholic options & Pregnant women, but please note that you may not have a replacement food option at every stop. Not recommended for Vegans.
We will be standing up in all the bars, in true Basque style.

What To Expect
We’ll start at a bar that’s been a local favorite since the 1970s. Here you’ll try a selection of the best mussels in town with dry Basque cider. Master pouring cider from a height straight into your glass and learn all about the cultural phenomenon of “TXOTX!” This traditional stop will be your first introduction into what going out for pintxos really means in San Sebastian.
Next, you’ll dive into the fascinating world of Spain’s most famous delicacy: cured Iberian ham. We’ll introduce you to a family-run gem stocked with Basque and Spanish gourmet products. Try two of the most-renowned (and most expensive) cured hams especially chosen by our friend Sylvain. By the time we leave, you’ll have an understanding of the differences between them—and a favorite!

5.00This small group tour was an excellent way to learn the history and "taste" of San Sebastian. Our group of 9 (max) was large enough to provide interesting conversation but small enough to walk comfortably and hear our guide. Devour tour guide Scott, and sidekick Gorka, were phenomenal. Great mix of historical facts, fun tidbits, and food! I highly recommend this tour, preferably to kick off your San Sebastian vacation. You'll enjoy a variety of pintxas and drinks from the best bars in Old Town!

5.00This excursion was amazing! We were able to see so many different restaurants/bars, and all of them had something unique to offer! It was so nice being able to walk around and see the city, along with making frequent stops to places where you knew, the food was going to be delicious! Our guide was so kind, and really had the interest of the group in mind. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone that is looking to find more foods that are out there in San Sebastian!

5.00Really, really enjoyed the food tour with Hector and Alba. I can see other reviews that have said it's expensive for the amount of food - and if you only judge on this, then perhaps. But I think the quality of the food, the knowledge & information that Alba & Hector provided, and the great group dynamic that they helped to curate was worth every penny. I love doing food tours when I go away - you get so much insight into the culture through food - and I would highly recommend this one! Special thanks for all the fantastic pintxos bar recommendations, which I'm working through!

5.00We can't recommend this tour enough!! Our tour guide Hector was fantastic. We stopped at 5 different restaurants for pinxtos and wine, each of which was famous and delicious. Hector managed the crowds, which weren't too bad because it was March. But Hector also taught us about the culture and history of San Sebastian and the Basque country the entire trip. It was well worth the fee and was one of the highlights of our trip to Bilbao and San Sebastian!!
