What To Expect
Parte Vieja
Wind your way through the charming, narrow streets of the Parte Vieja in Donostia-San Sebastián. We will elbow up at four or five establishments curated to match your preferences. Your guide will ease your experience by managing the sometimes busy ordering process. Try a combination of bar-top and kitchen-prepared pintxos. Your guide will know the specialties in every location, what might be "fuera de carta," and what ingredients are in season. Pair every pintxo with wine, cider, beer, vermouth, and/or a soft drink. We will offer recommendations when it comes to ideal pairings to enhance the flavor profiles. Whether you are interested in savoring gastronomic classics or some hidden gems, we will design an unforgettable experience that will have you buzzing with happiness.

5.00I joined the tour because I was afraid to go into a shop where I might not go out into the night town alone. The result was 200% participation. The guide communicated very smartly and always asked us what we wanted to do and always gave us options. It was really worth the participation, without any forced or aggressive designation. It was a night where I fell asleep, feeling physically and mentally satisfied with the best San Sebastian tour. If you are traveling alone, don't worry. You can get more satisfaction than the price.

The guide was personable, professional, and fluent in both English and Spanish, with a deep knowledge of the region and its history. The food and drink was incredible, and the experience was personalized to my interests. Informative and inspiring, it was an evening well-spent! Highly recommend!

5.00We had a great night out with Eric sampling the pintxo of San Sebastian. Eric is a great guide, extremely knowledgeable about the area, it's history and it's food and wine. Even better, we found Eric to be really personable and great company to enjoy our food and wine with. Each stop had unique dishes to try, some not on the menu, but the nightly specials. We would highly recommend the tour.

5.00Fabulous tour enhancing our foody stay in the city. Eric was excellent, so knowledgeable and gave us loads of recommendations from walks to the best bakers. The 5 stops were outstanding and I don’t think we would have tried them without Eric. Food and drink choices were perfect. We ended with the most incredible local cheesecake and stunning sherry. A brilliant informative afternoon

5.00Eric was a perfect guide, fluent Spanish & English. We’ve visited San Sebastián before but now feel enriched with the knowledge Eric shared with us to go and explore with insiders tips!! We visited 5 bars, some we would definitely never have ventured into, big mistake. Each venue has specialised food and we couldn’t try everything but we have a list of ‘must do’s’ in the next few days. We enjoyed kitchen pinxos & counter pinxos. All fabulous as were our drinks. We ended with an amazing cheesecake & sherry. Wow, what a day.

5.00We had been in San Sebastian a few years ago but did not understand how to really get the full Pintxos experience. So this year we planned a trip to Portugal and added San Sebastian again so that we could "do it the way the locals do". And it was awesome! Our guide was full of information about not only the best Pintxos places to try but what wines or beer to pair them with. He taught us the kitchen specialites to look for. He knew the history of San Sebastian and the customs of the locals. He suggested topping off the night with a special cheesecake and glass of Sherry as a special treat. It was a great experience!

5.00If you're planning to go to San Sebastian, start your trip with a pintxo tour from Eric. His tour really helped me enjoy the rest of my trip! When I got to Spain, I had no idea how or what I should order in the pintxo bars. Eric helped make it all fun and easy. When I told him I loved seafood but not meat, he adapted the tour for me on the spot. Each place we went to, Eric knew the best pintxos to order. They were often things made fresh in the kitchen I would never have known about. As we strolled around the old town, he told me about the history of the area and its food. It was a really interesting tour, and I had a great time hanging out with Eric. Definitely one of the best food experiences I have had!
