Stearns Wharf
Enjoy the seaside sights and sounds of Stearns Wharf, one of Santa Barbara’s most iconic landmarks. Named for builder John P. Stearns and located at the end of State Street, it is California’s oldest working wharf and the perfect spot to soak up the sun, salty breezes and stunning views of the impossibly blue Pacific. The Wharf was completed in 1872 and served the passengers and freight shipping needs of California’s south coast for more than 25 years. Today it’s one of Santa Barbara’s most visited attractions and a mainstay of the Waterfront district.
East Beach
East Beach is a favorite spot for locals for volleyball (including pro tournaments), skating, paddle sports, art shows and just plain relaxing. It also has a great panoramic view of the Santa Barbara mountains.

The trolley ride and tour was fun and informative. I loved getting to see parts of Santa Barbara I would never have ventured into. The tour guide told lots of fun stories both about the people and the history. For the amount of time it took and the price, it was well worth it.

Enjoyed the 90 minute tour with our driver Rusty through Santa Barbara and Montecito. Not a whole lot of big sights to see, but we hit the highlights and were able to spend about 20 minutes at the one stop, the Mission. Rusty shared some interesting history of the town, and we were able to get a feel for the layout. Would recommend.

We've been to Santa Barbara several times but this was our first time taking the tour. We had a great time with our tour guide, Rusty. He did a really nice job. You could tell he was a local and was proud of his town. I enjoyed the pace of the tour. It never felt rushed but also wasn't drawn out. I look forward to our next visit to SB so we can explore the different areas that Rusty pointed out to us. I highly recommend this tour. It's quick and easy and the perfect way to get to know the city.

I've been to Santa Barbara many times, so it was nice to have a very knowledgeable tour guide who was born and raised in Santa Barbara, show us around different areas such as Montecito. So much history in this town!

This tour was informative and more interesting than I expected. I learned a lot about Santa Barbara’s history from the 1700s to today, with a nice mix of historical and current facts. The guide shared great details, from ship cannons and early coastal defenses to celebrities who live in the area now. One highlight was a small upscale town filled mostly with high-end women’s clothing boutiques. We learned it’s a quiet, paparazzi-free area where celebrities live and spend time. Another standout was seeing a unique house built from artist-painted panels created by local artists, which was really cool to see in person. The only downside was the seating. The wooden benches didn’t offer much back support, and after a while it became uncomfortable. Overall, this is a great tour for first-time visitors and adults who want to learn about the area without doing a lot of walking.
