Arrival at Baltra Island Airport. Welcome and welcome by our Agency staff. We move by bus or shared van to Puerto Ayora for check-in at the Hotel assigned by the Agency.

the Charles Darwin Science Station or the Turtle Route is located in Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz Island. Famous for captive breeding of giant turtles from different islands, called Galapagos that live for an average of 150 years. On our tour we can observe the Darwin finches, Galapagos cuckoos, marine iguanas, the famous LONELY GEORGE the last of his kind from Pinta Island is in a special room where he remains embalmed; after the visit we will walk back to the city center

5.00I thoroughly enjoyed my five days in the Galapagos with Discovering Galapagos tour company. The absolute highlight of the tour was my trip to Garrapatero Beach, where I was able to snorkel in a small, private setting without much tourists there. Tortuga Beach and the Tintoreras Islet were the other highlights, as well as my visit to Isabela Island. I saw so many creatures, but none more than the tortoises of course! The archipelago is one big “zooquarium”, in my opinion; so if you love zoos and aquariums with swimming and seafood in abundance, then book Discovering Galapagos. Ask for Rodrigo—his knowledge is supreme regarding the history and facts of the islands, fauna, and flora. According to him, the original apple and coffee tree resides in the islands! I can’t forget about the exhilarating boat rides to and from Isabela—but if you’re prone to seasickness, then don’t do it! Overall, the logistics of the tour was punctual & professional, and I was even given a couple extra trips to places not included in the itinerary. Great value, even greater price!
