What To Expect
Fort from the beginning of the century. XVI, used to protect and fight Algerian corsairs and Philippine troops in the middle of the century. XVI and XVII. It offers us a view of part of the cinder cone of what is believed to have been the 2nd volcano that created the island of Santa Maria, approximately 8.7 M years ago

5.00The tour was wonderful. My guide was Ricardo and was impeccable. It presented the island in a very authentic way that left me in love with Santa Maria. I was able to see the island from the perspective of the Mikalenses and discovered many things that I couldn’t find myself. It was just me on the tour and I'm grateful to Miguel and Ricardo for not canceling. Some companies cancel tours when there are not enough people so I was impressed with smartur’s policy of paying attention to each of their customers. Recommended this tour at 1000%

5.00Very interesting day trip along all areas of Santa Maria Island. Our guide, Ricardo, made sure that we got a bigger picture of this island, and he did it. Always attentive to our comfort, and to meet expectations. He also assisted us in the transfers to and from the airport, facilitating these procedures with great diligence. Our stay on the island was pleasant and we had no problems, but the feeling that they had been resolved with your help if you showed up was very reassuring for us. Thanks for the kindness and good work.

5.00Well coordinated and full of knowledge guide Miguel is well know in the island and we would not have asked for anyone else to escape the rain and find the sun. In fact we were rain out at one location and Miguel came back to it by the end of the day to get a great last picture Thank you Miguel

5.00We had a fantastic day with Miguel. He was kind enough to meet us at the airport at 7:00 and delivered us to a great breakfast place. He then returned at 9 to start our incredibly informative tour. Miguel took us to places that reflected our interests as well as giving us information on local plants, birds, animals and island history. There was so much to see and do that I don't have room to list it all. That said, we never felt rushed and had plenty of time to stop for a coffee and later, lunch at a local restaurant. We were delivered back to the airport in plenty of time to catch our flight back to San Miguel. We cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Thank you, Miguel for a wonderful day. We will return to Santa Maria for a longer visit.

5.00Our day tour of Santa Maria was incredible. Miguel adjusted his weekend due to our flight being delayed, which was greatly appreciated. His enthusiasm and passion for the island is infectious. He took us to some amazing places, the recent rain created some beautiful waterfalls and you cannot help but be moved by such special places. Thank you Miguel for creating such special memories.

5.00I went to discover the island of Santa Maria and could not have chosen better. I had the privilege of depriving with Miguel and Ricardo and they were exceptional. Thank you for your sympathy, kindness and knowledge transmitted, you can see the love you have for your island. It was two excellent days, with a guaranteed return.

5.0010000% recommended experience! Ricardo was an unbeatable guide, we had a change in the flight schedule and helped us a lot, he worried a lot. We were also picked up early at 7am at the airport, although the activity started at 9am to drop us off near the village and have breakfast. The truth that has been super attentive and we saw many points of the island, with all the explanations, resolving curiosities, and in Spanish even though he was only two Spanish speakers, he tried hard to make us understand. Delicious food in a restaurant. Really happy, you rating that the guide enjoys what he does

5.00Good afternoon, on August 19 we went with my family on tour and were with the guide Ricardo. We thought he was a lovely person. The way he taught us the island was magnificent. He wasn't in a hurry and didn't forget any corner to teach us. He also tried very hard to speak our language to explain himself. In our opinion, excellent!

5.00I have a great day in the compagny of Ricardo: he shows me all the great places of Santa Maria and explain me the stories and the traditions of the island. It was really interesting and worth it. Moreover Ricardo is very nice and the landscapes are amazing. I had a wonderful day !
