What To Expect
Sumo is as old if not older than Japan itself. we will take you on a deep frive through history and how sumo has evolved throughout the millennia, while you enjoy an authentic Japanese style meal in an intimate setting. *For meal-inclusive plans, the meal consists of Wagyu beef sukiyaki and tempura. If you would like vegetarian meal, Please let us know in advance via message. Watch demonstrations of the morning exercises (asa geiko), somo of the techniques (kimarite) and the do’s and don’t’s of sumo wrestling before a best of 3 competition(tachiai)of real sumo between our wrestlers, who are retired from competition. Experience Sumo firsthand by challenging our wrestlers to a sumo match in the ring. (Limited to people per show). If there are too many applicants, challengers will be decided by lottery. Intimate view of the Dohyo from all seats. To really feel connected to the action please upgrade to our front row seating. Take home a gift bag of souvenirs as well as a framed photo of you and your group with the wrestlers. ATTENTION- This is a show by retired wrestlers for entertainment purposes.

5.00A great and hilarious show. Would highly recommend if anyone is visiting Sapporo. Food was also delicious and everyone, staff and performers, were all very kind and courteous. They definitely helped make our visit to Sapporo memorable.

5.00This was a great fun night! The whole crew are engaging and the show was both informative and fun! Great dinner and with a drink and goody bag included great value. The opportunity to have a go with sumo suit provided was hilarious!! We really enjoyed this experience.

5.00We had so much fun at the sumo show. The crowd was small but that meant we got to interact with the performers more. A little difficult to find at first based on the address, so just search for “Sapporo Sumo Club Entertainment” on Maps. Thank you to the staff at this venue for a great night! We will be laughing about this memory for many years.

5.00It was wonderful. Very informative and they showed the different types of stretching and. They demonstrated mochi making. It was one of the best shows and dinner was great. I would definitely go again next time I’m in Sapporo. I recommend it highly.

5.00Was so much fun! The show shared lots of history and facts about Sumo. The wait staff were kind and courteous. The dancer was beautiful and graceful. The wrestlers are gentle giants. Fantastic to watch. If you get lucky you might get to participate at the end of the show. I enjoyed the show so much I didn’t eat much, but it was also delicious.
