The food was fine and the guide was good, but compared to several other food tours we’ve loved in other cities, it fell short—particularly for its high price point. It started well with an excellent mini sandwich at Zunzi’s, but the food at other stops was less original, and portions were small enough that we still wanted lunch afterward. There was no vegetarian substitute at one stop—it was biscuits and gravy so my husband received a plain dry biscuit. At the last stop, we sampled (delicious) cheese straws from the tour company’s own shop, and they broke each straw into quarters for sampling. It just looked really cheap. All of this might have been fine for less money, but at this price point I didn’t expect to leave hungry. I’d rate it higher if the price were about 30% lower and it was positioned as a snack instead of a meal.

My wife and I had the best time during this tour. We loved sampling some of Savannah's tastiest foods. I got a chance to savor crab soup. It was so creamy and was so good. I truly fell in love with shrimp and grits. Oh Yeah! This tour was worth the price. What was just as interesting was the history behind the food and the places we visited. This tour is a must.

This tour was good. Our guide was very knowledgeable about food and the area. We stopped at 4 different restaurants we well as the Savannah Bee Company for honey tasting, and the Savannah Taste Experience where the tour started. There was one stop where the bite was Shrimp & Grits. I'm not a fan of shrimp, so I was served Fried Green Tomatoes instead. That was the first time I've tried this dish & loved it! The tour lasted about 3 hours & we covered quite a bit of ground. Some of the restaurants gave us menus where we could order drinks or other items. It was a small-ish group, which was nice. There were no earphones or microphones, but we were able to hear the tour guide fine.

I really appreciated the history of the food or restaurant in addition to the samples. The photos don't do them justice - delicious!
