We had the absolute pleasure of booking a private tour with RCR Tours during our time in Barbados, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, our driver Rickey delivered a truly exceptional experience. We arranged everything about three weeks in advance and were asked to provide a one-hour deposit to secure the booking. For anyone who might feel hesitant about pre-booking or paying a deposit—don’t be. The entire process was safe, straightforward, and completely professional. Rickey and his team are honest and reliable, and everything went exactly as promised. Traveling with my wife, I mentioned early on that I’m a photographer and was hoping for a tour that could highlight the most scenic and unique spots on the island. Rickey not only understood exactly what I was looking for—he exceeded every expectation. His knowledge of Barbados is tremendous, and he expertly tailored our route to include breathtaking views and hidden gems I never would have found on my own. What really set this experience apart, though, was Rickey himself. He is incredibly warm, personable, and engaging—someone who genuinely loves what he does and takes pride in sharing his island with visitors. He made us feel completely at ease the entire time, more like we were exploring with a friend than being driven on a tour. I also have a knee issue, and Rickey was extremely thoughtful and sensitive to that throughout the day, making sure stops were comfortable and never rushed. That level of care and attentiveness made a huge difference. We also had the pleasure of meeting his wife Cindy, and together they are simply first class—kind, professional, and truly dedicated to providing an outstanding experience. If you’re visiting Barbados and want a personalized, memorable, and top-quality tour, RCR Tours is the way to go. Rickey is excellent—truly, absolutely excellent.

A full half day informative coastal tour. Brilliant driver/guide. Only three of us in a very comfortable air conditioned people carrier. Everywhere listed in the tour description visited in approximately four and three quarter hours. The tour gives a view of all coastal parts of the island with enough stops for drinks and toilet breaks. Not a suitable tour for shopping just gives a whole island coastal view. Full marks all round

Overall the tour was ok. The hike up the trail is not for seniors with climbing issues It is a long drive from the dock just so you know

We wanted to take in the island early on in our trip, but a full day tour wasn’t attractive to us. The half day tour was great. I believe we took most of the same roads as the longer trip but with fewer stops. We were picked up from our hotel in a comfortable, new-looking minivan with an excellent driver. Our driver, Cindy, was everything one wants for a driving tour-informative, entertaining, and safe. She told us a lot about culture, architecture, tax laws, education, the economy, government, food, animals, and Rihanna :). She navigated the narrow, winding, and sometimes steep roads with skill and care. She answered all my questions. There were several “window stops” of interest in Oistens and Bridgetown. We got out of the car about four or five times, including a beach on the west coast, the Animal Flower Cave area (for cocktails at 10:30AM!!), Bathsheba, St. John’s Church, and a scenic overlook on the east coast. Bring cash (we did not) if you want to buy things-there are many opportunities and some very nice things. Lunch is not included in this tour (we knew that), but you’ll be home around lunchtime.

Antone was a fantastic guide around the island. He entertained us with some funny stories and filming location sites. The teenage kids and kids really enjoyed their trip around this beautiful island.

We book a private tour with RCR Tours that was supposed to include the entire itinerary of the Scenic Barbados Coast to Coast Half-Day Tour plus a visit to Harrison's Cave and an hour of shopping in Bridgetown. We confirmed on the phone with Alistair at RCR Tours TWICE that we would be able to get all of that done in the 6 hours that he said we would need to get it done. On the day of the tour, Cindy came to pick us up. Right from the start, she was aggressive, rude and yelled at us. While she did change the order of our itinerary to make sure we were not delayed at Harrison's cave, when we discussed what other sites we would visit, she said we would not be going to St. John's Church or Oistins, which we were supposed to see. When we explained that we still wanted to see those location, Cindy started yelling at us that there is not enough time to do that and that if we wanted to go to those places, we would have to cut our shopping time short or pay extra. When my friend very nicely to Cindy, "Ma'am, you are yelling", Cindy proceeded to yell louder. The aggressiveness, rudeness and yelling made us very uncomfortable. In addition, Cindy kept taking phone calls (no fewer than 8-10) and kept pointing out her husband's tour van along the way. Because we were alone with her on remote roads without many other people around, we were not in a position to speak up and voice our displeasure with how stressed and anxious the tour was making us. It was not an enjoyable experience. We didn't get to see everything we were told we would see and we ended the tour never wanting to come back to the Island. I would not recommend using this tour company.
