You’ll arrive at the historic wharf on the edge of Lake Te Anau where you`ll be met by your crew who will give you a safety briefing, and an order of events for your cruise. The crew will cast off and give you time to explore the ship. You’ll be offered tea and coffee once under way, and either have a chance to chat with crew, or enjoy time to yourself. You’ll have some amazing photo opportunities at all times, especially as you enter the South Fiord of Lake Te Anau. You’ll dock on the Hidden Lakes wharf and have your nature guide take you for a 15-minute walk into the first of the Hidden Lakes. This is another wonderful place for photos. It’s an easy walk with no hills on the track. It`s a leafy trail, so you’ll want to have comfortable footwear.

Upon return to the Faith you’ll have your afternoon tea and refreshments served, and time to relax and listen to the sounds of nature with the engine turned off. As you cruise out of the South Fiord your crew will raise the sails if the wind allows, and cruise back to Te Anau with the special feeling of big sails billowing above you. Upon return you’ll be accompanied back down the wharf to shore by your crew. At all times our intent is to be relaxed and allow you the flexibility of choosing to focus on the chapters of the experience which give you the most pleasure

We went on this trip today and it’s one of the best trips we’ve done over the 3 months we’ve been on the road travelling around the South Island. It’s a must do. The crew are friendly, informative and just amazing. Thanks heaps fir a great afternoon

We loved this whole experience. The two hosts were friendly and informative and passionate about their beautiful historic vessel. The views were awesome, the walk was beautiful and afternoon tea was top shelf- even wine and beer provided. It was underpriced in my opinion. Worth so much more for this small group tour!

We (2 couples) thoroughly enjoyed our cruise on this beloved motor yacht "Faith" with Captain Adam, his assistant and 12 passengers. The yacht is fun to explore and the lake and surrounding scenery is fantastic. We enjoyed learning about the yacht's history, going on a short hike, helping raise the sails on the return trip, and sipping wine and beer and eating decadent sweet and savory treats on deck. We had the perfect weather to enjoy the sun on our faces and wind in our hair. This tour was a highlight of our road trip through the North and South Islands. Don't miss this one if your are in Te Anau.

This is an excellent trip to do in Te Anau. Adam. the captain, is a brilliant host, giving lots of info about the sailboat and the flora and fauna on the short hike to Hidden Lake. We were supplied with drinks on the way out, and then canapes and drinks after the hike. On the way back Adam was able to put the sails up and it was lovely and peaceful sailing across the lake and enjoying the beautiful views. If you are in Te Anau you should definitely take this trip.

Fantastic! Adam and John were amazing guides. Being on The Faith was a terrific departure from the crowded RealNZ tours - a much more intimate and personalized experience. Can't recommend highly enough.

We were fortunate to go on this scenic cruise and guided nature walk today. The whole experience, from beginning to end, was perfect. The boat is beautiful and Adam, Megan and Sophie were helpful and so knowledgeable. They are obviously passionate about the boat and its history. After a lovely walk through the forest to the Secret Lake we were welcomed back on board with canapés and drinks before we headed back. We were offered a chance to steer the boat and explore the boat. Cabins, engine room, etc. Adam also broke out the bagpipes (minus the kilt!!) - so talented😊 We have experienced most of the Te Anau attractions, and this would be our favourite and great value for money.

The captain is invested in ensuring you have a wonderful time. He is very knowledgeable about the surroundings and takes you to hidden spots like The Hidden Lake and waterfalls.. The boat is immaculate and the food and drink offered are excellent. The first mate cares for you as she takes y ou for a hike to Hidden lake ( m15 minutes one way) explaining the surroundings. By the way the day I sailed the lake was perfectly calm. I would recommend this cruise with out reservation or shopping around.

This was part of a lower South Island group tour. I knew it it had drinks and canopies, but that's about all. The reality was 200% better. Beautiful boat, enthusiastic skipper (Adam) and first mate (Nina). We started at 2pm. A scorcher of a day. A beautiful cruise towards a walk to find the 'hidden lake'. A beautiful walk with a very knowledgeable guide Nina . Back on the boat in very calm waters to have drinks and canopies. Then a chance to put up sail - beautiful. We were all encouraged to help with steering, putting up the sails, inspecting the boat and the engines. On the way way back we were under sail, but too windless to get us back to bay, so back to engines. Just before we got back to shore, under sails again, a serene, quiet sail back to shore, and then a surprise - Adam brings out the bagpipes to pipe us back to shore under sail with a fantastic Scottish medley. Just the best! Can't recommend it highly enough. If I could give it 7 stars I would!
