We offer knowledgeable and experienced guides, German or English speaking and safe drivers , trained inhouse. We are passionate about what we do and where we do it and this can be seen and felt on all our tours. We have fun on tour, and are proud to share this beautiful gem with the world. This tour can be upgraded to a private tour, fancy food like champagne, oysters , and sushi, for anniversary or birthday parties, or other special occasions, contact us . We collect our guests in the Harbour where your Ship docks with a name board with your name on it. We also have a tear drop Flag so we are easy to find
Our pick up times are scheduled around your arrival times. We will always uphold our bookings no matter what time the ship arrives.
Please note German guides are limited and we do not have the capacity to give everyone a German guide, These will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Please note we can not guarantee a German guide on every tour!!
Should berthing times of The Cruise Liner change we will still be waiting for you had the Harbour
Ideally we want to leave the harbor as soon as possible. Please disembark to meet your booking departure time so not to uphold other guests in teh vehicle iwth you
Private can be arranged. Unfortunately, the other seats in the vehicle must be paid, so a minimum of 4 pax must be paid. Please contact us directly or by mail. Thank you
please note all Cruise Liner passengers, your tour pick up time starts an hour after you have docked. The tour will depart latest an hour and a half after the pick up time. Late comers are considered a no show

What To Expect
Walvis Bay Esplanade
Our first stop is at the Flamingos in the Walvis Bay lagune, we learn about them, why they are pink and about their habitat, then we drive past the enormous salt works and see the pink salt lakes. Further in the Lagune , which is a Ramsar site, we see the many waders and palearctic sea birds. The route takes us along the shore, past windswept dunes, seals and black backed Jackals, and harsh salt pans to where the Dunes meet the Ocean. .
The route along the shore takes us past wind swept dunes, black backed Jackals, seals and an array of sea birds. We see salt pans and vast open spaces, often with nobody in sight, and the dune belt that comes closer and closer, until it meets the sea. Entry into Sandwich harbour is often difficult and tide dependent, its Unique, its beautiful. Towering dunes on the left sea on the right. A rollercoaster ride takes us up to the high dunes and spectacular view point. The ambience is quiet and relaxed, its majestic and vast. We then go on an exhilarating dune ride and game drive, searching for what life the desert has to show, from the tiny shovelnose lizard, dancing on the hot dunes, to the ever hardened Oryx struggling to survive these harsh conditions. Along the salt pans back onto the shore to Walvis bay

5.00My partner and I had an exceptional half day tour to Sandwich Bay (and all the stops in-between) with Riaan last January. We were lucky to book the tour in the morning and were the only ones in the car. Riding with Riaan was a great balance of learning about history and nature, while all the while fun. He is an excellent driver who made us feel safe on the dunes. Highly recommend!

5.00Amazing full day tour with the boat cruise and the sandwich harbour desert tour, Le Clue was our guide for the sandwich harbour. He is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We learned so much about the nature, history and culture from his explanations. Good food and good vibes! We made many stops for photos!

5.00The Sandwich Harbor excursion is one of those rare experiences that exceeds every expectation. From the moment we set out, we knew this was going to be something special. The views were simply breathtaking — the dramatic contrast of towering sand dunes plunging into the cold Atlantic is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. No photo can do it justice. You truly have to be there. Driving through the dunes was an absolute thrill. It felt like something out of a movie — exhilarating, a little wild, and completely unforgettable. This alone would have been worth the trip. What surprised me most, though, was how much we learned. The education we received about the Namib Desert ecosystem, the unique wildlife, and the forces that shaped this extraordinary landscape was genuinely fascinating. We left far more knowledgeable than we arrived. But the real star of the day was our guide, Riaan. He was exceptional in every sense of the word — knowledgeable, engaging, warm, and clearly passionate about sharing this incredible place with visitors. He didn’t just show us Sandwich Harbor; he made us feel connected to it. Riaan elevated what was already an amazing excursion into something truly memorable. If you’re anywhere near Walvis Bay or Swakopmund, don’t skip this. And ask for Riaan — you won’t regret it!

5.00We had a great guide with Riaan who drove us through Sandwich Harbour and the dunes with a lot of good mood and energy. He was excellent and also told a lot of informative and interesting. Highly recommended tour. The dunes of the Namib are overwhelming! In the end we were even lucky enough to see a beach wolf..
