  Tahoe Outdoor Adventures provided an exceptional snowshoe tour for my family in Jan of 2026. Their service and dedication to providing an experience tailored to our needs went beyond what was advertised and expected. We booked a group and were called a day prior to get an understanding of our abilities and expectations. We told them of both my wife’s love for photography and our child’s elementary age. They split our group, one with 20’s and 30’s aged men in a group and another for my family at no extra charge. We each got a unique experience. Our guide (I cannot remember anyone’s names but their dogs Roxy and Moxie were both a joy to have along) told us about the history of Tahoe while taking us on a moderate but very doable trail giving us absolutely insane views of the lake and surrounding areas. The route had unique geology making for limited trees allowing for vista views in a rather short walk. We were comfortably and safely led to areas where we could slide through the snow, experience amazing views, and enjoy our time together as a family. Cannot recommend more, great value, exceptional service and support, fun adventures from cool local people.

  Such a magical snowshoe experience. The guides were friendly and supportive, and while the hike was uphill, the views made every step worth it. A wonderful way to spend time in nature — especially if you’re going on your own and want something grounding and quiet.

  We had a great snowshoe trek to a beautiful overlook on Lake Tahoe. There is ever-changing scenery going up the hill, with several good photo spots. Jeff was a super guide. He is friendly and knowledgeable. Jeff gave accurate and useful instruction on snowshoeing. He really taught us how. Michelle was also friendly and helpful in arranging the hike. We enjoyed the other hikers on the trip, most of whom were also first timers. We would definitely recommend Tahoe Outdoor Adventures, and look forward to going on another outing with them.

  The experience was wonderful. Michelle is so thoughtful about calling to understand the group and making sure everyone will enjoy the activity by making sure the trail is of the right level of difficulty or ease. Our guide Jeff was great as well. He was so patient, nice, and even took pictures and videos of us so we could enjoy the trail. The trail was beautiful and so were the memories Jeff captured for us. Thank you!! We highly recommend and look forward to coming again.

  Tahoe Outdoor Adventures: I paid for “Sunset Snowshoe Tour & Photo Adventure”, thinking that we would get to take lots of good sunset photos. I cancelled the Viator tour which was cheaper because it didn’t have sunset tour. The night before the tour, a lady from the company called and told us that as there was no snow, the company would not provide us with snowshoes but we would need to bring our own hiking shoes. She also told us that this would be a private tour just for my son and me. Instead of meeting the tour guide at the address listed on the company’s web site, we would need to meet him at a coordinate which she would email us and park on the street as the location had no address! 😂 The company would still charge us $318 for my son and me and we would be required to tip the tour guide! 😂 We told her that we only had waterproof shoes. She said that they would be “perfect” and emailed us a release to sign our life away. 😂 She said that the tour guide who was an experienced climber, was excellent and he would take us to places that “tourists have rarely been”. It was quite a hike. Yeh, we hiked to the top of the mountain! The tour guide was indeed knowledgeable and a very experienced climber. We gave him a big tip. We climbed up the hard way which was made for climbers who didn’t want to slope down! 😂The trail was quite steep!   The electric dirt bikes were the highlight of our trip. Definitely recommended! Ryan and Toben were our guides and absolutely crushed it.

  We went on a guided hike around Echo Lake and the views were absolutely worth it! The trail was the perfect blend of exercise and breathtaking scenery, giving us a memorable way to spend the day together. Our guide, Tyler, was knowledgeable, engaging, and a pleasure to share the day with. It was another unforgettable experience for our group!

  Trent was an amazing adventure advisor and took us on a challenging hike. He pushed us out of our comfort zone a little, and in the end, we were proud of what we did! Very knowledgeable guy and we have photos for a lifetime!
