This scenic tour will depart Napier, following the coastline before heading inland to follow the beautiful Tukituki River with stunning views across the valley and the Havelock North hills to Te Mata Peak.

You will then cross the river, heading past Craggy Range winery and into Havelock North before starting the exhilarating climb, almost 400m, to the top of the Peak with spectacular, 360-degree panoramic views of Hawkes Bay and on a clear day as far as the volcanic Ruapehu!

Climbing a mountain on a V8 trike can be an experience to remember, great for celebrating birthdays or that special occasion.

We spend approximately 20 mins at the Peak before heading back down through the orchards and vineyards.

Napier does not have a cruise passenger terminal so all passengers a required to hop on the free shuttles into the city, the second stop is the National Aquarium which is where our cruise tours depart from.

We are not able to enter Napier port to collect cruise passengers.

Napier operates free shuttles from the ship to the city

Cruise tours depart from National Aquarium which is the second shuttle stop.

This is not a full commentary tour, due to the nature of the trike there is no commentary while we are travelling.

After a scenic drive through the beautiful Tukituki valley, you will climb to the top of Te Mata Peak where you will have approx 30 minutes to soak up the amazing 360-degree views. You are welcome to bring a blanket and something to drink while stopped on the peak.

Phil picked us up from our hotel in Napier and we had a blast out to Te Mata Peak on his Trike. What a great couple of hours with a really great guy on a great machine. You really get to experience the scenery, sounds and aromas of the surroundings along with a bit of V8 engine as well. What is not to love. Thanks Phil for your company and the experience.

Wow! Phil was very knowledgeable and told us about Napier's history. The scenery during the ride was amazing and the views from the peak of Te Mata Park were incredible. The ride itself was exhilarating. An incredible way to see the sights.

Loved our first experience on a supertrike! Phil was so friendly and informative. We enjoyed hearing about his journey owning the supertrike and also his knowledge about the area. Te Mata itself was spectacular - the views were endless and amazing! We were lucky enough to be the only 2 people booked on so it felt extra special. Would highly recommend doing this once in a lifetime experience!

The supertrike is super fun! Phil was an excellent driver and the supertrike was very comfortable. Mount Te Mata has amazing views. We totally enjoyed this experience.
