What To Expect
Enjoy a tasting of three single malts from regions across Scotland, plus a new make spirit (unaged whisky). The experience is enriched with the history, traditions, and anecdotes that Scotch carries with it. The experience begins at the entrance of John Knox House, from where we will head to a central whisky bar for the tasting. Experienced local guide. 4.00This was a fun tour given by the wonderful guide and whisky aficionado, “Marco”. I was excited to learn about the history and process involved in the making of whisky, especially since I am a newbie to it and my libation of choice is typically gin or vodka. The tastings were just the right amount and all distinctly different. The only reason I gave 4 stars out of 5 was the time of the event was less than ideal. Being at a pub at 17:30 on a Friday when everyone else is there after work made for a loud and crowded venue. It was hard to hear Marco despite his best efforts to project his enthusiastic voice over the commotion inside. The tour would’ve been perfect if it was offered earlier in the afternoon.
