This was an exceptional tour of Edinburgh that exceeded all expectations. Our host was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also engaging, bringing the city’s rich history and culture to life with fascinating stories and insights. The food and whisky pairing experience was truly outstanding — a perfect blend of authentic Scottish flavours and expertly chosen whiskies — all set in a beautiful location right in the heart of the city. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, making the tour both educational and thoroughly enjoyable. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting the Scottish capital who wants to discover its heritage in a memorable and immersive way.

Excellent tour that was a catch all experience. Iain’s historical knowledge was outstanding and we loved the whisky tasting! The absolute highlight was the haggis bon bons, you should take this tour for those alone. Thank you for a spectacular day :)

Fantastic experience! This was my first time visiting Scotland with my fiancée and I'm glad I did. Ian really knew his stuff, was friendly and charming - would highly recommend. The combinations of whisky with the food were amazing, and during the rest of the trip we kept coming back to how good it was. Not to mention ... the sights were stunning. I'd definitely recommend this tour to my friends! Thank you Scotch and Scran!

This tour was the best city tour I’ve been on anywhere in the World… the city is amazing, old town & new town & all the bars, shops & restaurants - the city really is an amazing place, full of rich history, great food, plentiful drinks, and even better people. Our guide, Ian, is so knowledgeable about all of the above; it really made us feel as if we’d spent many weeks in Edinburgh when in reality we were only there one afternoon. Highly recommend Ian and this tour to anyone interested in seeing and tasting some very authentic and incredible parts of Scotland.

The tour was great, we only had 1 day in the city and the tour was able to cover not only the history of the city and its popular stories, but also a whisky tasting. Iain was very knowledgeable and a great tour leader! He took us to amazing spots for photography as well. During the tasting, given it was our anniversary, Iain helped us get a rare 42 year old whisky for us to try! It was great, we couldn’t be happier. It was well worth the money and the time.
