People from all over the world travel to Phuket to learn scuba diving that are not able to swim or are nervous, with the right training and after listening to some instructions from a professional diving instruction you can learn to dive.
As someone who may not be able to swim well in deep water or simply not that confident as a swimmer then the pool session makes sense.

What To Expect
Discover scuba pool diving no previous experience is needed to have a fantastic first-time scuba diving experience. The benefit of learning to dive in a pool is that you learn to use the equipment in a safe location, this will be less stressful... Free Insurance cover is part of "Try scuba" under SSI courses cover provided by Dive Assure. Who qualifies for this activity You must be over 10 years of age have a reasonable fitness level and not have any medical conditions whatsoever that may impair your health. All children under the age of 18 should be supervised by a parent who must join this activity. No heart problems or other serious medical conditions Not recommended for pregnant travelers Diving within 24 hours of flying is not recommended. All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to diving. Some pre-existing medical conditions (eg asthma, heart conditions, etc) may prevent you from diving, please consult your doctor Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level

5.00I had the greatest experience scuba diving with Michael Kerr (Scottish instructor)! I’ve never went scuba diving before, so he was very thorough with directions and stayed by my side. I felt very safe, and he often made sure to check in if I was doing okay. By my second dive I felt very comfortable and was okay doing pretty much everything independently! Now I want to take the course and get certified! I would 100% recommend this trip to everyone, and thanks a bunch to Michael for being an attentive and fun instructor! If you are able to, I would also recommend you ask Michael to be your guide! Oh also the view underwater was unbelievably beautiful - we saw lots of fish and creatures. :)

5.00THANK YOU for a great first time scuba diving! Simon explained everything thoroughly and clearly before we hit the water. I was super nervous at first, but by the time we did the second dive I was way more comfortable. Simon pointed out interesting details like little crabs inside the coral, a fish that blended right into the sand, pufferfish, and a swirling school of little barracuda that I was able to swim with like I was the Little Mermaid! The boat was comfortable, and it was lovely even getting to the dive sites—beautiful aquamarine water and clear blue skies and a healthy breeze in my hair. Overall, a beautiful day!

5.00I am new to diving, so I was excited and a little nervous when I signed up for the beginning tour. Well, I had a great time and have nothing to worry about since Phuket dive tours took wonderful care of me. I was given step-by-step instructions and felt secure that I was working with the company that I could trust. My instructor Roman was a great teacher and tell me everything I needed to know and expect to have fun and safe experience. he gave me a personal one on one instruction and was guiding me through the entire experience. By the end of the day I fely confident with my skills as a beginner diver and Roman taught me. I love tropical fish, So diving is a dream. In my three dives I saw tons of new things, including huge schools of fish giant puffer fish lots of moray eels, flounders, and even got to swim with a turtle thank you Phuket dive tours in Roman for a wonderful experience.

5.00First time in Phuket and we had a great scuba diving experience. 3 dives in 1 day. Our instructor, Simon, was very helpful and answered all our questions. Breakfast, lunch and snacks were provided. Would definitely recommend.
