This tour offers 2 different kayaking options for you to choose from: Seal Kayak tour and the Sunset Kayak Tour. It is the first kayak tour in New Zealand to offer hands free kayaking. Now with the largest human muscle group in play, kayaking becomes easier and more efficient than ever.
Come get up close and personal with the New Zealand fur seal as they play around and under your hands free pedal kayak. Taking photos/selfies have never been easier now you can capture all your moments without stopping!

All passenger weights MUST be advised at time of booking if over 100 kg maximum weight is 115kg. If your weight is 115kg - 125kg, you must book a private tour for your safety. If you have any concerns, please email [email protected].

Seal Kayak tour
All Seal tours are guided with a 100% chance to see the New Zealand fur seal. The seal kayak tour runs for 2.5 - 3 hours.
Sunset Kayak Tour
The Sunset Kayak tour is my personal favourite with still a 100% chance to encounter the New Zealand fur seal it the best way to Finnish your day in Kaikoura.

5.0Awesome time out on the kayak. Super comfortable and easy with the peddle, definitely spoiled for future kayaking! We got up pretty close to the seal, lots of great pictures and a beautiful afternoon on the water. Both guides were excellent, super knowledgeable and made everyone in the group feel at ease. Really great Kaikoura activity!

5.0No need to worry about paddles, you’re using your legs to move the kayak. Very easy going experience. I was the only one scheduled for this time so I had a “private” experience. Saw lots of seals. Had picture perfect weather and low winds, which made the experience even more memorable. Saw the elusive blue penguins as well.
