This tour offers 2 different kayaking options for you to choose from: Seal Kayak tour and the Sunset Kayak Tour. It is the first kayak tour in New Zealand to offer hands free kayaking. Now with the largest human muscle group in play, kayaking becomes easier and more efficient than ever.

Come get up close and personal with the New Zealand fur seal as they play around and under your hands free pedal kayak. Taking photos/selfies have never been easier now you can capture all your moments without stopping!

All Seal tours are guided with a 100% chance to see the New Zealand fur seal. The seal kayak tour runs for 2.5 - 3 hours.

Sunset Kayak Tour

The Sunset Kayak tour is my personal favourite with still a 100% chance to encounter the New Zealand fur seal it the best way to Finnish your day in Kaikoura.

Well organised and easy to book, and to change our booking. Friendly team who accommodated our odd number without blinking. Patient and knowledgeable, not just about the kayaks and the seals, but also the local history and other wildlife.

My son and I had a great time. Weather was excellent and the pedal kayaks are brilliant which is easier to manage especially with children. My son is 11 and he loved it. The seals were amazing but for us it was just as much about being out on the water enjoying the amazing views. The staff were really engaging and they were very knowledgable. It was very enjoyable and we will do it again sometime.

A great experience, super chill, friendly and knowledgeable guides. The kayaks were easy to use and very stable. Loved seeing the seals, we also saw dolphins and a lone penguin.

Enjoyable experience. Saw a couple seals and sunset was beautiful. You are provided jackets to keep you warm as it can get windy. The real standout compared to other companies is the foot pedal kayaks. We hadn't done this type before and enjoyed it. Easy to use and frees up your hands for pictures etc

The guys that took us were friendly, helpful and I felt safe with them. They were very informative and helpful. The kayaks were great. You could chose to paddle or use your legs. Very innovative kayaks. We saw a few seals and it was very tranquil. I'd definitely do it again and recommend them.

As the only solo in my chosen timeslot, I was partnered with Charlie for this tour. This was great, knowing that I didn't have to do all the work on my own. Charlie and Bailey were both great guides, friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, we didn't see many seals on this trip, but that's just the luck of nature. It was still a great experience. I would do it again but plan my holiday around a different time of day and year in the hope that the wildlife would be more active.

My family and I loved the tour with Lucy and Logan. They were so friendly and made us feel safe and welcome at anytime. Great knowledge of the sea, animals and history of Kaikoura. As a great, unplanned extra, we had some dusk dolphin's coming close to our kayaks and following us for a while. And these foot-pedal kayaks are so easy to use and make the adventure very comfortable. We just loved it and highly recommend to join this nice adventure!
