This tour offers 2 different kayaking options for you to choose from: Seal Kayak tour and the Sunset Kayak Tour. It is the first kayak tour in New Zealand to offer hands free kayaking. Now with the largest human muscle group in play, kayaking becomes easier and more efficient than ever.
Come get up close and personal with the New Zealand fur seal as they play around and under your hands free pedal kayak. Taking photos/selfies have never been easier now you can capture all your moments without stopping!

Seal Kayak tour
All Seal tours are guided with a 100% chance to see the New Zealand fur seal. The seal kayak tour runs for 2.5 - 3 hours.
Sunset Kayak Tour
The Sunset Kayak tour is my personal favourite with still a 100% chance to encounter the New Zealand fur seal it the best way to Finnish your day in Kaikoura.

5.00The guys that took us were friendly, helpful and I felt safe with them. They were very informative and helpful. The kayaks were great. You could chose to paddle or use your legs. Very innovative kayaks. We saw a few seals and it was very tranquil. I'd definitely do it again and recommend them.

5.00As the only solo in my chosen timeslot, I was partnered with Charlie for this tour. This was great, knowing that I didn't have to do all the work on my own. Charlie and Bailey were both great guides, friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, we didn't see many seals on this trip, but that's just the luck of nature. It was still a great experience. I would do it again but plan my holiday around a different time of day and year in the hope that the wildlife would be more active.

5.00My family and I loved the tour with Lucy and Logan. They were so friendly and made us feel safe and welcome at anytime. Great knowledge of the sea, animals and history of Kaikoura. As a great, unplanned extra, we had some dusk dolphin's coming close to our kayaks and following us for a while. And these foot-pedal kayaks are so easy to use and make the adventure very comfortable. We just loved it and highly recommend to join this nice adventure!

5.00We had such an incredible time kayaking in Kaikoura. ‘The Seal Kayak Kaikoura’ team was absolutely amazing and very experienced. Charlie and Lucy were our guides and they were so much fun to hang around with. We had 12 people in the group, so we split with two guides. Charlie gave us so much information on the marine life around there. And made the evening a lot of fun. Lucy was great too!! I highly recommend doing this. We had a unique experience with paddle Kayaks as we had never done this before. It was a great way of just relaxing and watching the beautiful landscape and the marine life.

5.00One of those serendipity experiences - pulling up at a coffee cart en route to camping ground in Kaikoura, and upon sitting down nearby to have it, noticing the unusual kayak with fins on display. We consequently came back the next day for one of their well organized tours. The kayaks are such that most people would be able to operate them. I was surprised at the speed we were able to go. Very friendly, relaxed and knowledgeable staff are on hand at all times to guide us around the Coast. More New Zealanders should line up for an experience such as this.

5.00Our guide was very knowledgeable and informative about the wildlife and Kaikoura in general. He gave us great recommendations for our stay in Kaikoura, we really want to come back now to visit! Seeing the seals in their natural habitats was absolutely stunning. The views were amazing, we were so lucky to have glorious sunshine! Finally the kayaks- we have never used pedal kayaks before now. It was sooo relaxing and fun using the pedal kayaks and has inspired us to seek out more. We travelled so far across the sea and saw so much. Great company and a great tour, thanks again!
