This was a very fun walking tour with delicious food that focused on small local places for noodles, soup, fruit, tea and beer. Our guide Jade was excellent with great English and great stories about the city. And she made sure there was plenty of food for one vegan in our group and another who loved spicy meat!

One of the highlights of my trip to Shanghai. I'd definitely recommend doing this tour early in your trip, as it's a great way to learn your way around downtown. Jim was fantastic. He taught me a lot about Chinese history and culture, was very fun and friendly, and knew took me to eat a lot of really delicious food. I'm recommending his tour to all my friends that are planning a visit.

The food was fantastic, our guide was knowledgable and fun, the pace was perfect and the walk through the backstreets gave us a chance to see a unique side of Shanghai. We highly recommend this tour! We might even do it again in the near future.

I have been on countless food tours around the world. I have also, booked many Shanghai food tours with all the notable companies in Shanghai. However, I would definitely say this tour company and guide, was by far the best. I basically had the same food, as all previous tours in Shanghai (I enjoy the breakfast tours), but different locations within the city. However, what really made this tour my top 5 all time favorite food tours, was the guide. Anyone can tour around a city and eat the typical food of the given city/country. What makes a food tour or any tour memorable and a REAL "experience" is the guide. Jim, my guide fit that "experience". Jim spoke great English, was very informative regarding current affairs relating to China and the history of China, especially pertaining to the area in which the food tour was. I highly recommend this company!
