You'll experience what it was like to reside in the colonial capital during a time when ruthless businesspeople, ruthless politicians, enslaved Africans, and possibly a few pirates walked these streets. Investigate the homes, business, places of government, and houses of worship that were integral to society in Colonial Williamsburg. Rewind to a period when the cries of emancipation reverberated through the halls of power and the murmurs of American independence hung thick in the air.

What To Expect
Formerly known as Boundary Street, this historic avenue served as the border between English colonists and Native Americans.
Public Hospital Museum
"Idiots, lunatics, and those of insane mind" were to be housed in this institution, according to its founding documents. Although conditions were frequently not much better than those in jails, several doctors tried to make things better for their patients. After the Civil War, the situation worsened once again, and in the 1890s, the original structure burned down.

5.00Was very entertaining. Patrick did a great job with making it fun and interesting. He told us a lot about the history of the town and kept us very much in tune with the time period. He had answers for all our questions and really knew his stuff.

5.00Vince was an excellent guide. It was only the 4 of us along with him. He was patient, offered breaks when needed, kept our pace. And we could ask questions, that he answered. And he could carry on with the tour. No umming or ahhing. We weren't interrupting his train of thought. He was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot that we would not have found out through brochures. He had great recommendations for lunch.

5.00We had an enjoyable walk through colonial Williamsburg. I am local and brought out of town family and felt like I still got new information from the experience. We had gorgeous weather and our guide William was personable, engaging, and had interesting jokes, tidbits, and stories about the various sites and people from various parts of Williamsburg history. Also, there are tons of poke stops for people who play Pokemon go. We stopped by the cheese stop for lunch and had a very enjoyable day.
