Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse
Who doesn't love a lighthouse! Established in 1858, this is the only lighthouse on Mount Desert Island and one of the most photographed along the Maine Coast. If we can snag a parking space, let's take a walk around this handsome light and take some pics. Unfortunately, neither the tower or keeper's house are open to the public, but we can still enjoy it from the outside.

5.00The tour guidance was a lot better than I expected, well worth the small amount we paid for the audio. Voice was very clear, popped up at the right ime as we passed each point. The idea of enjoying learning about the park in the priviacy of our car was a great way to do a quick tour of the area when we had only one day to drive around.

5.00Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Bought it for the Acadia loop but drove both loops. Loved the second loop, Mount Desert Island, even more than Acadia NP. Interesting stories, spot-on food recommendations (loved Abel's for lobster). Downloaded the app and tour before leaving home, worked seamlessly, picked us up as soon as we got to Hull's Cove. GPS was great, comments were always perfectly timed with the drive. Linked to the vehicle by Bluetooth, everyone in the vehicle heard the commentary.

5.00Great app with a very entertaining narrator. We downloaded the app and it worked on our Apple Car Play and utilized GPS through out the two loops. The narrator would begin within plenty of time of turns and stops and offered great suggestions of what to expect. Made navigating busy weekend on the Island so much more manageable. Our favorite part was the ‘quieter loop’ which took you to the other parts of the island. We even utilized the app for finding places while not on the tour loop. Best 20 bucks we spent at Bar Harbor.
