Most developed day-use parking areas along the Kancamagus Scenic Byway require a day-use pass. If you arrive without one, you can purchase it at self-serve kiosks located at fee parking lots and trailheads; a single pass covers all fee sites for that day. If you hold the America the Beautiful interagency pass, you’re already covered and don’t need a separate day-use pass. A White Mountain National Forest annual pass is also available for those who prefer a yearly option.
The app’s audio will play through your car’s Apple CarPlay and Android Auto display, while the app’s map will display on your phone. You can connect your phone to the car via Bluetooth to listen to the commentary through the car stereo.

Albany Covered Bridge
New England is famous for its covered wooden bridges, and the Albany Covered Bridge is one of the most photographed in New Hampshire. Originally built in 1858, this 120-foot-long covered bridge spans the Swift River and is still open to vehicles as long as they don’t exceed a height of 7’9”. Together with the Russell-Colbath House, these structures are the only preserved remains from the era when farming was first established in the region.

Never got the tour set up. There is nointernet signal in the Kangamangus. But I can't fathom how this works. Wasted my money!

This was the most nicest drive through the Tamango highway with the tidbits of history and places to stop. It was well worth the investment, and I would highly recommend it to anyone that’s in the area to download the app and enjoy the commentary.

This is a must do drive when in Vermont or New Hampshire. The audio guide enhanced the experience so you could easily pick and choose which stops or hikes would interest you.

My partner wanted to see New England in the fall. In my research I found the audio tour of the Kancamagus Highway. It was really nice not only learning about the history of the area, but also getting “heads up” about what was ahead of us. Very enjoyable!

Very well done. We saw things we would not have found ourselves and enjoyed the history lectures along the way.
