We all know Churchhill as a wartime hero, but to visit fav cigar, hat & shoemaker’s shops is to learn about his more private side & about a bit of London history too. Alex was excellent at drawing us into his daily life & habits, paralleled with the history of the neighborhood not to mention wartime London. Highly recommend this tour as an appetizer to the more serious War Rooms.

Enjoyed our tour with Beth. A nice small group of us had a wander round a very busy Westminster but we managed to find quiter spots to have an interesting talk and learnt some interesting stories about Winston Churchill. Not too much walking and well worth doing!

Great tour to learn more about Winston Churchill, World War II & London history. Our guide, Beth was brilliant. She kept my 11 & 13 year old engaged the whole time.

Excellent tour . Really enjoyed the way the guide asked before we started how many of us were fans of Churchill , and shaped the tour accordingly . The quote “ No more champagne “ should be more widely used .

Pleasant guide (accompanied by her assumed partner), the tour was more general in nature than was expected. Not a great deal of captivating facts, and was a bit disappointed by the lack of focus on the man himself (Churchill). If you have high expectations (as I did) then they need to be tempered.

The tour was very informative, and we are very glad we booked it! We learned a lot. Also, if you are interesting in going to the War Rooms, I would recommend booking it about a week in advance. If not, you would have to wait about an hour to see if you could go in.

A VERY ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE! ROSIE OUR GUIDE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGABLE AND INTERESTING AT THE SAME TIME. WE ALL LEARNT FROM THE TRIP. SAW SOME GREAT SIGHTS AND GOT SOME GOOD PHOTOS. THE WALK ITSELF WASNT TOO FAR, ROUND SOME VERY BUSY POINTS, BUT VERY MANAGEABLE.
