After pick up at your Seoul hotel in the morning, we will visit to the Jogyesa Buddhist Temple which is the center of Zen Buddhism in Korea. The first thing you will see at the temple are the locust trees and baeksong trees in front of the Daeungjeon (main building of Jogesa Temple). Those trees are about 500 years old and the Baeksong tree is designated as a Natural Monument. And you can see the Daeungjeon Building which was built in 1938. It is particularly beautiful with all the different colors painted on it, and inside the building is the statue of Seokgamoni. In front of the Daeungjeon building, you can also see a seven-storey stone pagoda containing Jinsinsari. After the Jogyesa Temple, we will visit the Blue House which is the president residence. Since it's the security area, we cannot stop in front Blue House. So, we will see the Blue House on the way to Gyeongbok Palace at the transportation (pass by). After passing the Blue House, we will be at the Gyeongbok Palace which was served as main palace during Joseon Dynasty. It's the most famous and historical sights to visit when the people visit to Korea. It has so many buildings and we will look around Geunjeongjeon (main throne hall of Gyeongbok Palace), Sajeongjeon (King's office), Gangnyeongjeon (King's living quarters), Gyotaejeon (Queen's living quarters) and Gyeonghoeru where the king threw formal banquets for foreign envoys. And then, we will go to the Korean National Folk Museum which is part of Gyeongbok Palce. It represents daily lie and culture of Korea, also provides educational and cultural opportunities to better understand and experience the traditional Korean lifestyle. Then, we will go back to the Gwanghwamun Gate which is the South gate of Gyeongbok Palace. And will see the changing of the Royal Ceremony. And the tour will end back in Seul at City Hall after a stop at a ginseng center. City hall is closed with many other tour attraction. So, after the tour you can have your own schedule easily.

This was one of the worst tours ever. The guide spoke very quickly and did not allow time for us to view the things she was speaking about. Her knowledge was very limited. The speed of the tour was very very fast, and did not allow any time to explore. Then to make the whole thing even more worthless we were taken to a ginseng store that wasted almost an hour of our time with a hard sell and was never mentioned as part of the tour. It was very clear that either the tour company or the guide were getting a commission on extremely expensive ginseng. I would avoid this tour at all costs.

Before I booked and paid for this tour I was told in the chat that they would pick me up at my hotel but not drop me off on return. I was agreeable to that. I contacted again to confirm my hotel for pick up at 0845. The tour operator did not show up. When I called that morning they told me that there was no pickup for my hotel. At that point it was too late to get a taxi or train. I requested a refund and 3 days later nothing but an email saying that they would review the situation for a refund. Very frustrating.

Super disappointed in the communication with the Seoul Tour Operator, who was rude and unwilling to refund when we didn't attend the tour and gave the notice to not include us as what we expected was not what was listed in the tour listing. We had booked within the 24 hours of the tour because however, they ignored us even though they were available on Whatsapp and reading messages. They were rude and blamed us for the situation. Would not recommend!!

Change of guards at palace was the best part. Others interesting. Not so good was information. I had a question and tried contact the tour operator with Viator message form, no answer. I had to call, then I was informed about change of pick-up time, that was the evening before the tour. The full day tour was mixed with the morning tour. But no one told us and information was not clearly separated. However the drivers were flexible and handled the fact that we had full luggage very well.

We had a spare morning before leaving Seoul and this was a last minute decision. What we saw was worth seeing and our guide was pleasant and efficient.
