Really excellent and engaging tour delivered by Finn ( hope I remember correctly ) who plainly loves what he does and revealed his thespian training from the first words . Go , Finn ! The historical background described was as fascinating as the physical surroundings themselves and one could almost smell the groundlings …as in ‘ the roar of the grease paint , the smell of the crowd . ‘🤣🤣 Finn was happy and very able to answer all the questions lit to him by members of the small tour group . Plainly a student of the history of the period as you would be if you lived and breathed it like that . I just wish I could have gone to a performance at the Globe but we were between seasons unfortunately.

Educational and insightful tour, and staff very happy to answer questions. Well worth the admission price. Only downside is that our tour guide Cockney Mick managed to say the same of the Scottish play while inside the stands, but as misfortune will only befall him, I will not deduct any stars.

The Guided tour was a very memorable experience - we had an excellent tour guide called Llŷr - his knowledge and love of Shakespeare was impressive and he painted a wonderful picture of life at the Globe in Shakespeare’s day! He was also great with the kids and was able to answer many questions. The Globe itself is a faithful and beautiful reproduction of the original theatre, and we were able to watch some of the actors warming up on stage and understand the history. The enjoyment of the tour is listening and learning, it’s not a museum but a working theatre, and the tour lasts about an hour. It was well worth the visit, especially if you love Shakespeare.

I can't remember the guides name but she was from New Zealand and she was brilliant! The guide was very knowledgable, she was funny, entertaining and extremely professional. The building and it's history were brought to life and gave the audience a taste of 16th centrury life. A most illuminating and enjoyable experience...

Jeremy was very knowledgeable and kept our attention with his Shakespearean verses and interpretations. Even my husband who isn't much into Shakespeare enjoyed the tour.

Really looking forward to this tour and excited to be on it unfortunately a play was in rehearsal so the tour was short and we only went into the balcony it lasted 30 mins tops so I thought it a bit expensive for what I got. Then for some unknown reason the tour guide kept making up tenuous links between Shakespeare and immigrants it seemed like he couldn't tell us anything about Shakespeare and the globe unless it involved a foreigner. Do a bit of your own research save your money on the tour and go and see a play you will see as much of the theatre as I did and you won't have to listen to some made up cobblers about the worlds most famous playwright
