This is the only shark tour in the USA and to our knowledge the only tour where guests do not get in the water to view the sharks. Delight in close-up views of sharks and a variety of other marine life. In this eco-friendly catamaran, travel through shallow waters to a location a few miles from shore, observing dolphins, stingrays, barracudas and native birds along the way. Bait is used to attract lemon, nurse and other types of sharks to the side of the boat. What To Expect
Key West Extreme Adventures Shark Tours
After check-in, the Tiger Cat will cruise through Key West harbor on the way to the Key West National Wildlife Refuge. Here guests will see numerous sharks and a variety of wildlife including dolphin.
Key West
Travel through shallow water close to mangrove islands as you make your way about 4 miles (6.4 km) away from shore to the shark viewing site. Along the way, keep your eyes open for dolphin, sea turtles, stingrays, barracudas, tarpon and an array of native birds. Listen to your experienced pilot discuss the delicate ecosystem of this area and its abundance of wildlife. Enjoy complimentary water, soda, juice — as well as the use of polarized sunglasses — during your trip. When you arrive at the shark destination, get ready for an unforgettable experience! Your pilot will use bait to draw a host of sharks that swim right up to the boat so you and your family can observe them in safety and comfort. See numerous lemon and nurse sharks, and watch out for bull, black tip and hammerhead sharks during nearly one hour of shark viewing. Capture dramatic photos you can't wait to share with family and friends.

5.00What an amazing experience! When booking any experience that involves nature or animals, we do our research to ensure the tour operator acts in the best interest of the environment and the animals. It was abundantly clear the respect that our tour operator has for the sharks and their evironment. The crew did a great job educating us while making sure everyone had a great experience. The captain was conscientious of everyone getting a front row view and let the kids throw fish tails to the sharks, giving them an amazing experience and hopefully endearing these amazing animals to them for life. At the end of the tour, we passed the marina and were left wondering where we were going, and SURPRISE! Another captain had messaged ours, and we got to see a pod of bottlenose dolphins, which came right up to our boat. The price was reasonable, the boat was not crowded, and we had a great time with a fun and educated crew. While I personally would have loved more time with the sharks (I could have spent all day out there), the tour's length was ideal, since the on-board bathroom is not an adventure I would ever want to have, lol. Our tour was delayed by the weather, but fortunately, we were able to get it in on our last day and were accommodated at a time that worked with our flight departure. The communication regarding our rescheduling was timely, professional, and easy.

5.00Extremely friendly and knowledgeable crew take you to spot to watch lemon sharks gather and feed. You never go in the water; you’re in a large boat. Everyone gets a change to see the sharks up fairly close in clear shallow water and everyone who wants to can throw them a fish over the rail and watch them get after it. Great fascinating afternoon!

5.00We are a Space Coast Florida family (with 3 boys 6 and under) that was down in the Keys for the marathon this weekend. We are used to boating and Florida ocean wildlife spotting, but this was special. The weather was a little chilly on the morning trip, but that did not stop a single one of us from having the greatest experience. His Majesty Clay and Just Plain Tanner (😂) were the greatest guides…so knowledgeable and so very kid friendly. Our three boys asked (literally 3 mins after getting off of the Tiger Cat) if we could email the videos of them feeding bait to the sharks to their teachers. 2 full days after the tour they are still repeating facts they learned and drawing pictures. We will be telling everyone else we know to be booking when in Key West!
