This is the only shark tour in the USA and to our knowledge the only tour where guests do not get in the water to view the sharks. Delight in close-up views of sharks and a variety of other marine life. In this eco-friendly catamaran, travel through shallow waters to a location a few miles from shore, observing dolphins, stingrays, barracudas and native birds along the way. Bait is used to attract lemon, nurse and other types of sharks to the side of the boat. Key West Extreme Adventures Shark Tours

After check-in, the Tiger Cat will cruise through Key West harbor on the way to the Key West National Wildlife Refuge. Here guests will see numerous sharks and a variety of wildlife including dolphin.

Travel through shallow water close to mangrove islands as you make your way about 4 miles (6.4 km) away from shore to the shark viewing site. Along the way, keep your eyes open for dolphin, sea turtles, stingrays, barracudas, tarpon and an array of native birds. Listen to your experienced pilot discuss the delicate ecosystem of this area and its abundance of wildlife. Enjoy complimentary water, soda, juice — as well as the use of polarized sunglasses — during your trip. When you arrive at the shark destination, get ready for an unforgettable experience! Your pilot will use bait to draw a host of sharks that swim right up to the boat so you and your family can observe them in safety and comfort. See numerous lemon and nurse sharks, and watch out for bull, black tip and hammerhead sharks during nearly one hour of shark viewing. Capture dramatic photos you can't wait to share with family and friends.

Highly recommend excursion. Fun for all ages! The crew ensure everyone has great time and viewing. Informational. We even had the opportunity to see a three week old dolphin!!! A must when visiting the Keys!!

I am in the Keys rather often and go out of my way to *avoid* the many tourist traps. However, this tour is worth every penny - and I am considering going again! We saw a lot of sharks and as a bonus, spent extra time in another area seeing a pod of dolphins - it was an absolutely lovely day! The check-in stand is on the pier behind Opal Key resort, sandwiched between a couple of other check-in shacks. If you can't find it, anyone in the shops lining the boardwalk will point it out to you. (Go visit Patty at Gator Joe's coffee to get an excellent iced concoction along with your directions.) The guys are a lot of fun - expect a lot of jokes peppering the great information they give. They make sure *everyone* gets a chance to see the sharks up close and even with a full boat, you're guaranteed a view. They are terrific at navigating the busy port and have a real love for what they do. Unlike so many other places, these guys are happy to see customers! Everyone was greeted with a smile, they were eager to answer questions and interact, and at the end of our tour, Clay went around offering free downloads of his Go-Pro videos taken during the feeding. This family-owned operation does it right - don't miss this if you're in town.

Awesome trip!! The guys were super knowledgeable about the waters and the sharks and dolphins. They were hilarious and informative. This trip was awesome! Highly recommend! The only thing I would say is they do not provide polarized glasses like it says so bring your own and the meet up point is on the cruise dock not the hotel other than that 10 out of 10!

Fantastic experience! Loads of sharks and well managed. Get there early so you can locate the spot on the pier to check in as the meeting point is quite vague on the main description when you book. The tour was hilarious and they made sure everyone took turns viewing which was much appreciated. A great day out
