Last stop on the cruise is Shimizu. After picking up the rental car and our guide, I drove on the left side of the street. Interestingly enough it was pretty easy. Our first stop was at the strawberry fields then to visit one of the last Samurai’s resting place in Shizuoka Negoya. We then went to Kusanogi for a view of the bay and Mt. Fuji. It was cloudy which didn’t lend itself for that amazing view but it was still beautiful. Cherry blossoms were beginning to blossom and as we drove through the countryside, the wild cherry trees blooming were absolutely breathtaking. Didn’t capture those pictures but hopefully they remain in my memory bank. We then headed to the countryside visited Moriuchi Tea Farm where we were introduced to multiple types of teas. It was a great day. Acchan my tour guide was excellent. She planed the entire day and her knowledge of history and geography was spot on. Acchan is super nice and very flexible and kept be abreast prior to meeting up. I had an amazing time.

My family and I enjoyed our time with Grace. She made our experience personal and joyful. very accommodating, on time and great communication. My sister and I experienced a kimono demonstration in which we were dressed in beautiful kimonos and drank tea. Loved it! Thank you, Grace for being a wonderful host in your city. We enjoyed meeting you.

This was a fantastic tour. Hisato was very knowledgeable and her English was good. We departed the ship early and she was already waiting for us. She took us to a lovely restaurant for lunch that you would not find on your own. We were lucky with the weather and got wonderful pictures of Mt. Fuji. Hisato planned a busy, fun filled day that was not rushed. We very highly recommend Hisato.
