Kauai is famous for many things but perhaps none more than being one of the leading natural sanctuaries for the Green Sea Turtle. With a lifespan of over 100 years and sizes exceeding 5 feet in length, they are truly a sight to behold. In Kauai, the Honu seem to have embraced the Aloha spirit, frequently greeting divers with curiosity and interest. Having been protected by the endangered species act since 1979, the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle has very little fear of the divers that visit their home. We're fairly certain they would throw you a "shaka" as they swam by, if only they had opposable thumbs.
With over 1,250 endemic species in the Hawaiian Islands, the Honu is just one of the many exciting animals you will experience on your tour. Macro photographers will be thrilled by the vast diversity of nudibranch, cowries, pipefish, and colorful crustations. Explorers will love the variety of eels, schooling blue striped snapper, perching hawk fish, and shapeshifting octopus.

Scuba Instructor - this is for certified divers only
Once checked in at the shop and you have provided your required scuba certification, equipment has been loaded, and you are introduced to your professional divemaster, guests will be transported to Koloa Landing, Kauai's most famous shore dive site. Upon arrival, guests will be given a detailed briefing about the site and shore diving procedures. Once the dive site and safety briefing is completed, it's time to get wet and check out the incredible underwater ecosystem Koloa Landing has to offer including its population of over 50 Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles. Though we can't guarantee you'll see them because they are wild animals, it's extremely rare that we don't! *Important*: This experience is for certified divers only. This experience requires participants to remain below an altitude of 1,000ft for 18 hours after their last dive. Restrictions include interisland and commercial flights, helicopter tours, skydiving, and trips to Waimea Canyon.
Duration: 3 hours: For those on a tighter schedule, we offer this experience as a 1-Tank dive as well.

Natalie and I were on Kauai with the Pride of America and I booked this dive for one of our days in port. I have a few dozen dives logged, but this was her first after certification and first in actual open water. Carlos was a great guide; got us geared up, dive/safety brief, and kept us on track for two amazing dives. We didn’t see an octopus, not for lack of his trying, but we did see dive with more sea turtles than I could keep count of…highly recommend!

Excellent dive with Carlos! We were in a big bait ball within a few minutes of going under. Saw turtles, octopus, and a wide variety of fish. Beautiful conditions and a quick, easy entry from shore. Everyone in this shop is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Great experience getting my wife certified. Fearful of the ocean, they quickly helped her overcome that and get certified. Completely sold and ready to dive as a family now. Highly recommend them. From office staff to instructors everyone was great.

My wife and I are certified divers but we wanted to get our 13yo son diving for the first time. He was pretty nervous so we thought the 2 tank shore dive at Koloa ramp might be a good place to start. It was PERFECT. Our dive guide/ instructor was Andrew and he did a spectacular job briefing us all, working with my son on some skills and getting everyone comfortable in the water. The Koloa ramp dive is great for new divers, those looking to refresh their skills or anyone looking for an easy way to get in the water just to see a ton of wildlife. The crew at Seasport Divers were super personable and welcoming and Andrew was the perfect instructor for our son. The next time we dive in Kauai- it’ll be with Seasport for sure.
