What To Expect
Gibraltar
Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory and headland, on Spain's south coast. It’s dominated by the Rock of Gibraltar, a 426m-high limestone ridge. First settled by the Moors in the middle Ages and later ruled by Spain, the outpost was ceded to the British in 1713. Layers of fortifications include the remains of a 14th-century Moorish Castle and the 18th century Great Siege Tunnels, which were expanded in WWII
The Rock of Gibraltar
The Rock of Gibraltar is a monolithic limestone promontory located in the British territory of Gibraltar, near the southwestern tip of Europe on the Iberian Peninsula. It is 426 m high. Most of the Rock's upper area is covered by a nature reserve, which is home to around 300 Barbary macaques

5.00Our guide was very knowledgeable, courteous, and fun. He made sure everyone enjoyed the tour and allowed extra time for slower individuals to enjoy the sights. Because it was a small group tour with only 8 people, the van was able to take us further up the mountain whereas people in big your busses were dropped at the bottom and had to walk up.

5.00The tour was fantastic. Our guide, Carl, did a great job of getting us to each of the sites promptly so that we beat the crowds, but were never rushed along. There were many great stops, particularly the monkeys and the caves. We learned a lot about the history of the Rock, and about its present-day existence.

5.00We certainly didn't know what to expect on our tour of Gibraltar...but this tour and our guide "rocked Gibraltar". We saw everything from magical caves to spectacular ocean views. Great, big guns and cannons from various wars. And a very complete run down of Gibraltar's history. The monkeys were ravenous and our guide was smart enough to keep them out of the car and away from this hysterical passenger! We even saw a momma carrying a newborn. This tour of Gibraltar showed us more than we ever believed possible. And our guide got us everywhere right on time...with laughter all the way! This is a don't miss tour!!

5.00If you want to have a GREAT day in Gibraltar, then look no further than Carl and his team at Inside Out Rock Tours. Our booking experience was prompt, professional and easy to set up. We booked the 3.5 hour tour and had a fantastic day. The tour was just the right amount of time to see the sights and then go into town for shopping, lunch and then back on our ship. Carl has lived in Gibraltar his entire life and knew exactly where we needed to go and what we needed to do when we got there. After our tour, he recommend and excellent place for Tapas (one of the best meals on our trip). He is one of the very few guides that and drive you up the rock and believe me..that is the only way to go. The tram and the buses can only get you to certain places and you will then have to walk uphill. If walking uphill is not your thing, then you definitely want to book with Carl!

5.00Right from the prompt pick up at our hotel to the drop off 3 plus hours later Carl was magnificent. His passion and knowledge for his homeland really shines through in his comentary throughout the tour. And would like to say he was really fantastic with my disabled Mum who is afraid of heights and looked after her while the rest of us took full advantage of what the tour had to offer. Big thanks Carl and would highly recommend his tours.

He was super funny and down to earth which is what our family loves, so knowledgeable about everything , and was so accommodating for my mother in law. He got her as close as he could to the entrances and helped her. Our entire family LOVED him!!
