Puerto Varas
Travelers are guided through Puerto Varas’ lakeside promenade and historic center, stopping at postcard viewpoints of Lake Llanquihue and the Osorno Volcano. Along the way, your guide shares the town’s German heritage and points out the best cafés and bakeries. During the visit, guests enjoy a traditional snack: a freshly baked Chilean beef empanada served with a complimentary glass of Chilean wine (red or white, included)—a flavorful pause before continuing the guided exploration

5.00We had an incredible experience from start to finish. We were picked up directly from our hotel in a very comfortable vehicle, and everything felt smooth and well-organized from the beginning. Our first stop was the Petrohué Waterfalls, which were absolutely stunning—truly one of the highlights of the trip. After that, we stopped for what was supposed to be a snack, but it was so much more! We were treated to a delicious baked beef empanada, Chilean red and white wine, and a traditional German-style cake called Kuchen. It was such a thoughtful and generous touch. Our guide was amazing—so attentive, warm, and genuinely fun to be around. She’s originally from Puerto Montt and knows the area incredibly well, but she’s also American, so her English is perfect, which made everything very easy and enjoyable. She recently started her own company after working in the industry for over 15 years, so even though there may not be a ton of reviews yet, don’t let that stop you—she absolutely knows what she’s doing and provides a top-quality experience. I would 100% recommend this tour. You’ll be in great hands and have a beautiful, memorable day.

5.00Vicky was very flexible regarding the meeting point. And she brought empanadas and cake and red and white wine - we stopped at 2 separate locations to enjoy the “picnic”. The drive was very scenic - only problem was that a triathlon was being staged over our route so some detours were required. Vicky handled that very well.

5.00Wonderful tour of the towns of Puerto Varas and Frutillar, and a visit to Petrohue Falls. This is one of the best tours we have taken on Viator. It was run fantastic, we saw the two towns, the falls, and had a snack of empanadas and sweet pastries with water, wine or Pisco sours. The food was delicious and so were the wines and sours. Great commentary along the way and it gave us ample time to explore the sites. Highly recommend this company and tour. BTW, when you're at the falls, stay to the left to see them. Some friends of ours were on a ship tour and their tour guide gave them no instruction on where to go and they went on the dirt paths and completely missed the falls.

5.00A fantastic tour! Our guide was waiting for us at the port entrance, very easy to locate. The van was comfortable and our driver great. The locations were spectacular. We stopped at vehicle stop have lunch. The empanadas and deserts were amazing. They gave us local wines to try with our lunch. We made it back to the ship with plenty of time to spare. We highly recommend this experience. Gracias!

5.00We thoroughly this small group tour. Very well organised, they were waiting for us on the pier, we had a comfortable bus and we saw so much! All worthwhile. Maria our tour guide spike very good English and made the experience together with driver Chritian, a very pleasant experience. The empanada and cakes were the best and a pleasant surprise. They even organised some pisco sour for us! Thanks Maria, Veronica and Christian.

5.00Javiera took 6 of us in a modern, comfortable van to a National Park, where we hiked a couple easy trails to see a waterfall and rapids downstream. This was also a great place to get photos of a snow-capped volcano. We then drove to the nearby lake where we were given an empanada and a glass of Chilean wine for lunch. After lunch we drove to Puerto Varas and Frutollar. We were given about 50 minutes to walk around and explore the quaint, beautiful towns. We were returned to the dock 45 minutes - an hour before the last tender to the cruise ship. This was a beautiful day out ! Javiera did a great job managing our time and providing interesting commentary . I'd also like to add that this was MICH more affordable than the similar excursion offered by our cruise ship.
