This event so completely exceeded my expectations. We started with a fun and informative tour of a local market before arriving at Mama C’s cool little kitchen down a little alley in the middle of old Palermo. There were four of us in the class each with our own stove top. Mama Corleone demonstrated each step of the three course meal we made. She does not speak English so everything is translated by a truly charming young Lorenzo—he and mama have a really winning rapport. After 90 minutes of making sauces, dicing shrimp and garlic and making our own cannoli’s, Lorenzo pops open a bottle of wine and we all sit down to eat the 3-course meal we made which was just fantastic. With completely fresh ingredients and a staff of four supporting the four in the class, I’m not sure how they make money, but they created a great evening. Don’t miss it.

Thank you so much for such a great time, you were all incredible and we really loved spending time with you. The food we cooked was fabulous, we never found cannoli again that was so light and fresh, you completely changed our idea of how they should taste.

My adult daughter and I had a charming extended morning at this wonderful cooking school in Palermo. We learned how to make three local dishes: Sardine Meatballs in the most delicious Pomodoro sauce; Pumpkin and Sicilian Red Shrimp pasta and door utterly delicious Sicilian cookies for dessert. Mamma Corleone and her assistant Lea were supported by local translator Lorenzo and what a charming trio they made. They were both informative and entertaining. We very much enjoyed ourselves and our efforts were rewarded by a delicious lunch of all the goodies we had made, served with some crisp local wine. We were very much made to feel at home. If you’re in Palermo and remotely interested in learning some new recipes, do go to this cookery school. I promise you, you will be charmed. Grazi Mamma Corleone and all of the Crew!

What an amazing experience! I will say if you are having a gluten feee class make sure you confirm directly with the provider as Viator said it was confirmed and I reconfirmed a week prior but when I arrived they did not know. They quickly adjusted and made it a perfect gluten free experience!

Everything was great. Everyone felt included and the staff did everything to meet our needs (some of us were vegan), and were very welcoming. Nothing felt staged although they all have had the same dish for quite some time. A great experience during a visit to Palermo. We won’t forget this evening!

The cooking class was great. In total it was me and 2 other ladies who were sisters and then Mama Corleone and her assistant who translated between English and Italian for us. We made a shrimp pesto pasta dish, a fish dish and canollo's too!! It was a lot of fun and it was great to learn to make these dishes from scratch and with fresh ingredients. When we ate the pasta with the pesto and shrimp, it was the best pasta dish I have ever tasted. It was so good. We had a lot of fun and we got to take home any food we had made but didn't manage to eat. The class is held in a little cosy rustic kitchen but with modern hobs etc so it was very easy to cook in there. At first I was worried I was going to be late as I couldn't find where it was even though I was on the correct street however I found it in the end. It is easy to find, you just go into the street from the main square and just keep walking down until you feel like you are near the end of the street and then you will see a little door on the left with the cooking school name on it. I had a lot of fun there and would love to do another cooking class with Mama Corleone in the future if I am in Palermo again. Definitely worth booking a class here!

Fantastico! I took 3 other cooking classes with different chefs. Chef Antonio by far was the very best. You not only learn how to make delicious dishes , but you are throughly entertained by Chef Antonio’s charming and humorous personality. You feel like you are cooking and eating with your own Sicilian family. This class is a must while in Sicily.
