What To Expect
Angkor Wat
Angkor is one of the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia. Stretching over some 400 km2, including forested area, Angkor Archaeological Park contains the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire, from the 9th to the 15th century. They include the famous Temple of Angkor Wat and, at Angkor Thom, the Bayon Temple with its countless sculptural decorations. UNESCO has set up a wide-ranging programme to safeguard this symbolic site and its surroundings.
Bayon Temple
The Bayon was the state temple of King Jayavarman VII, built at the end of the 12th century. It is a mountain temple built to represent Mount Meru, the center of the universe in Hindu and Buddhist cosmology. The Bayon’s most distinctive feature is the multitude of serene and massive stone faces on the many towers that jut from the upper terrace and cluster around its center peak The similarity of the 216 gigantic faces to other statues of Jayavarman VII has led many scholars to the hypothesise that the faces are representations of the king himself. Others believe that the faces belong to Avalokitesvara, the bodhisattva of compassion while yet another commentary suggested that the temple was originally built for the Hindu God Brahma. The temple is also popular for two impressive sets of bas-reliefs, which present an unusual combination of mythological, historical, and mundane scenes. This is one of the many ‘must visit’ temples.

5.00We did two tours with Tiger and they were both great tours. His driving was impeccable , a nice lexus car , very clean , good air conditioning. Tiger spoke excellent english. He had cold water for us, and cold wipes throughout the trips. Tiger did a great job of explaining about all of the sights , culture and history to us. He also had a wonderful sense of humor. I would definitely recommend him for any tour.

Let’s list the ways: - Communication: he is very responsive to WhatsApp messages and shared a wealth of knowledge about Angkor Wat, the temples and Cambodia today. - Charm: friendly and gracious, Tiger ensured our experience at Angkor was magical. From giving us wet wipes and chilled waters after each temple stop, to being playful and laughing along at jokes. - Photographer: meticulous, Tiger took a number of photos of us at the sites, from many different angles. He got several money shots. - Good driving: the roads can be chaotic with scooters, Tuk Tuks and other vehicles jockeying for position. Tiger got us to our destinations with speed and efficiency. Tip: you can use him and his comfortable air conditioned SUV for more than just Ankgor Wat. He also drove us to and from the airport for a separate, reasonable fee. Whether you want to hire a guide is up to you. For a comprehensive tour of many of the primary and secondary highlights of the temples in and near Angkor Wat, choose Tiger.

5.00Great experience with a personal driver! Knows the temple layouts & attractions across Siem Reap very well. He will either come inside the attractions with you, or wait at the car until you are finished, and of course you can visit many temples in one day. Essentially your personal driver for the day, we had him for 5 days and we were very happy! We visited many temples around the Angkor Wat complex, and also the Landmine Museum. He will take you anywhere you want to go, and is always very helpful with information. Would definitely recommend!

5.00We had amazing experience with Chun, who was caring, knowleadgeable and accommodating to our needs. He was punctual, helped to take many many photos from good points, shown less known places with fewer tourists but super impressive. Things like cold towels to refresh ourselves just made it a complete package. Recommend to everyone who is looking for a good guide in Siem Reap
