Meet in the lobby of your hotel at 8:00 a.m. (in Siem Reap). Your guide will show you to a range of stops outside of Siem Reap to Kulen Mountain, one of Cambodia's most sacred mountains, with profoundly treasured ancient temples and ruins on its high plateau. The roads are quiet, small, and scenic all the way to Kulen Mountain.
Phnom Kulen National Park
Following that, we'll head to the National Park, where you'll be able to take in the scenery. Our English-speaking guide will accompany you as you explore the wide plateau of Phnom Kulen.
1000 Lingas
Then we follow the jungle paths through the vine-covered woods until we reach the River of 1000 Lingas, a collection of distinctive riverbed carvings, and Preah Ang Thom, a massive stone Buddha carved into the top of a rock located in a crowded yet atmospheric temple complex.
Roulous Market is a vibrant local marketplace near the Roluos temple group, offering an authentic look at daily life in rural Siem Reap. Visitors can explore stalls filled with fresh produce, live fish, spices, street food, and household goods, experiencing the real atmosphere of a community market. Its colorful scenes and friendly vendors make it ideal for cultural insight and photography, and it pairs well with a visit to the nearby historic temples.
Kompong Phluk
Experience the unique rhythms of life on the Tonle Sap Lake with a guided journey to Kampong Phluk Floating Village, one of Siem Reap’s most captivating cultural destinations. This itinerary offers an immersive look into Cambodia’s traditional stilt-house communities, serene mangrove forests, and the dynamic waters that sustain local livelihoods throughout the year. This tour begins with a transfer from Siem Reap to the Tonle Sap floodplains, offering views of countryside life along the way. At Kampong Phluk, you board a wooden boat to explore the village’s tall stilt houses and observe the daily life of local fishing families.
