Chong Kneas Floating Village
This tour will start at 8:00am or 2:00pm depending on your preference. We will drive to see the floating village at Chong Kneas, just to the south of Siem Reap town. Our guide will take you on a boat trip to pass through the floating village where many Cambodian and ethnic Vietnamese families are living their lives on the water. You can see how they go about their daily lives with markets, schools, clinics and restaurants all floating on top of the water.
Artisans Angkor
We’ll then head back to Siem Reap to visit Artisans d’Angkor. Here, you can see how local Cambodians have revived many ancient methods for creating arts and crafts including statues, silk and other things. This is one of the most popular attractions in Siem Reap.
Angkor Wat
The Angkor Wat Small Circuit tour starts very early in the morning. You’ll be picked up before sunrise around 4:30. We will watch a beautiful sunrise at Angkor Wat.
Angkor Thom South Gate
After the sunrise and exploring Angkor Wat, we’ll stop for breakfast and then continue to the ancient city of Angkor Thom. We’ll enter via the “South Gate of Angkor Thom” on a long causeway which is flanked by a row of 54 mythical beings which are said to guard the city from bad spirits.
Bayon Temple
First on the list is a visit to Bayon temple which is located exactly in the centre of Angkor Thom. The hundreds of giant stone faces will look down on you throughout the temple and are some of the most recognized and photogenic spots in Siem Reap.
Baphuon Temple
A mid-11th century temple, Baphuon is a beautiful temple at Angkor Thom. Its name means a hidden temple. It has three tiers, built in a shape of pyramid.
Terrace of the Elephants
We’ll then head over to the Terrace of the Elephant and the Terrace of the Leper King before taking lunch. You have the option to each lunch in a local restaurant nearby the temples or we can head back to your hotel to eat lunch.
Ta Prohm
After lunch, we’ll to see the “Tomb Raider” temple which is called Ta Prohm. It’s one of the most popular temples because of its unique appearance. The jungle is literally growing right through the temple.
Banteay Kdei
Next up is Banteay Kdei temple which is a large unrestored complex in a similar style to Ta Prohm. We’ll then head over to Srah Srang which is a large manmade lake known as the “Royal Bath”. Here, we’ll watch the sunset before heading back into town.

Everyone should come here at least once in their life, it’s a beautiful experience. The floating village was fascinating, Angkor Wat was spectacular. Our guide was very informative and knew lots about various things and so we could ask lots of questions. His English was good too. For the Angkor Wat temples, the complex is huge so come prepared for a fair amount of walking and some climbing (optional). To make things a bit easier, a driver was provided to drop at the entrance and collect from the exit. Refrigerated water & hand towels were provided, which came at all the right times.
