In a very simple way, directly in the vineyards, we will talk about the agronomic cycle of our organic grapes with the help of genetics, physiology, ecology, pruning, handling of the soil and harvesting.

In the cellar we will take into consideration the basic concepts for a quality wine making, analyzing the chemical, physical and microbiological details of our wines, during all the main steps of the process from grape to wine: stemming-crushing, alcoholic fermentation, maceration, malolatic fermentation, racking off, stabilizing, bottling and refinement.

Found this wine and food tour and loved it. Beautiful setting in the winery. We toured the vineyard and cellars. Then the wine pairing!!! So good my husband bought a case to take away and one shipped home. Loved the fact that it was organic. Our guide. (Sorry can’t remember her name!) was very knowledgeable and took great pictures of us in the vineyard. Met some lovely travelers and shared food and wine. Two thumbs up.

I had such a lovely experience at Azienda Agricola La Lastra! As a solo traveler, I felt incredibly welcome and even made some new friends during the tasting. Mia was a fantastic guide—knowledgeable, passionate, and thoughtful in explaining their winemaking process and how climate change is impacting the region. The food was delicious, and the wines were even better. My favorite was the Chianti Colli Senesi. Highly recommend visiting—it’s just a short drive from Siena and absolutely worth it!

Very disappointed in this company and Viator. We had booked this wine tour and had severe weather notice. I alerted Viator hours in advance of the event only to have them say there would be no refund! Be very careful if you are booking any outdoor events with this company and tour as you won't get a refund of your money and it was expensive!! I'm so disappointed and frustrated at this experience.
