Sitka Sea Level Adventures is a local & family-run tour company in Sitka, Alaska. Specializing in whale watching & marine wildlife tours, we explore Sitka Sound & the pristine wilderness around the Tongass National Forest & the volcanic coastline of our island home. The surrounding waters are a marine playground for several whale species, including Humpback, Gray, and Killer Whales, sea lions, sea otters, eagles, puffins & sea birds galore!
Our tours are led by skilled Sitkans whose deep-rooted connection to the area means you’ll gain unique local insights into the habits & history of these incredible animals. What To Expect
Sitka
Sitka Sound is home to some of the most amazing wildlife in the world. On our trips we often see seals, sea lions, sea otters, and whales. There is a wide variety of birds in our area as well: bald eagles, puffins, and muir are just a few that stand out. Sitka Blacktail deer and Brown Bears are also a common sight. This wildlife tour is perfect for those looking to experience the breathtaking and overwhelming scenery the Tongass National Forest has to offer, with fantastic opportunities for photography and making memories. No animal sightings are guaranteed. All trips are unique due to weather and time of year.

1.00We scheduled a wildlife tour on the water. And the captain did not show up. No one bothered to contact us to let us know, and we were unable to book another captain or boat. Very disappointed we would like to see some sort of credit towards a future booking.

5.00Great small group tour and tour guide! Capn Mike was funny and empathetic and was receptive to what we wanted to see! Great to have a local who could offer realistic and expert opinions on things. We got lucky, even though it was rainy and wet, we saw humpbacks and sea otters in ways we hadn't before!

5.00Captain Brody knew just where to find bears trying to catch their salmon dinner, as well as numerous whales (we were surrounded). An exciting way to spend an afternoon with my adult daughters. Laid back cruise, beautiful scenery, abundant wildlife, and beverages. This was definitely the highlight of the trip - seeing Sitka by sea.

5.00We had an absolutely fabulous tour in Sitka with very close viewings of Orca whales that came up to and under our boat. Cruised by the fish hatchery looking for bears but just saw many chums. Last stop with a lone sea otter and a pod of humpbacks. Our captain/guide Maureen did an outstanding job. Highly recommend the tour.
