What To Expect
Experience the unique landscape and warm hospitality of the North of Norway. This is where we offer you Tromsø’s Best Kept Secret with its wild, breath-taking and tranquil scenery. On our Arctic Ice Fishing Adventure, you will take part in one of the most loved winter activities of the north. The tour starts with a scenic drive along fjords and mountains before entering a hidden valley surrounded by even more wild and rugged mountains. On the ice we chill out on cozy reindeer hides while slowly wiggling the rods to attract the big catch. At the same time, it’s impossible not to get mesmerized and intrigued by the surrounding breath-taking nature and everchanging light conditions of the Arctic. Dress warmly so you have the best chance of fully enjoying your time on the ice. We serve hot drinks and snacks while fishing. Though we cannot guarantee the big catch on every tour, this surely will be a fascinating and once-in-a-lifetime experience. Both this activity and the snowshoe trip, is a great choice for those who want to explore and experience wild tranquil nature, culture and Arctic elements at their best in one of the most beautiful places in the North of Norway.

5.00We had a brilliant time with Gudman on the Best Kept Secret ice fishing tour. The trip was very well organised, and the drive through the beautiful landscape to the lake was just incredible. Gudman was very knowledgeable and funny and we enjoyed chatting to him on the way back to the city. He also had his son with him and Alf the driver, who were both very helpful. During the ice fishing, we were given some delicious soup and traditional snacks. Most of the people on the tour caught a perch and one person caught an Arctic char too, which was very exciting.

5.00Gudmund was an awesome guide. I stepped in an ice hole and I didn’t catch a fish but I had the best time with the most perfect views. It is so beautiful and peaceful fishing on the frozen lake. Definitely wear warm socks. The soup, snack and hot chocolate really hit the spot. Be prepared to have no formal bathroom access for the almost the full tour.

5.00It was an incredible moment shared with my 2 boys on the ice fishing. My boys managed to get 2 trouts of 40 and 50cm !!! Our guide Gudmund has been sharing with us all kind of info all along the experience to make it a memorable moment ! Thanks a lot again for this.

5.00This was really a great half day. The main guide is fantastic. He told us a lot of interesting facts throughout. The experience was well organised. After about an hours driving we arrived at a frozen lake. We took part in drilling the holes and setting up the camp. Then did the fishing. One boy caught two trouts, no one else did but we were very happy nonetheless. This is a great experience that I would recommend. This is not something you can do very often

5.00Goodman kept us busy about the drive to the lake with information about ice fishing, Norway and quizzes. For the quiz questions we were allowed to give estimates at the lake and there was a prize at the end. Ice fishing was also a lot of fun, although unfortunately we didn't catch anything. You have the full experience starting from drilling holes and building benches to fishing

5.00The bus driver was very nice and friendly . The guide was very motivated and positive. Whether you catch a fish or not doesn't matter in the end, because you just enjoy this experience! And if you have positive nice people around you ,the tour was just perfect !!Thanks for your effort!!!

5.00Guthmundr was great tour guide (guessing the name as I called him Goodman ). Lots of information and a wealth of knowledge. Happy upbeat professional to make it a fun time . The scenic drive was amazing with some incredible views on route . I’ve fishing is great fun too , what an experience. Sadly no fish for us today but it is called fishing not catching . Warm drink and soup was very welcomed and the snack provided was delicious (I can’t remember what it was called sadly ). I would advise lots of layers though !. With the provided snow suit it still gets very cold . Great fun would highly recommend this guided trip. Thank you !.
