What To Expect
Skellig Six18 Distillery
Visitors will enjoy a fully guided, award-winning tour—recipient of the prestigious Double Gold at the International Spirits Challenge Awards in London (2022). Led by a local storyteller, the experience weaves together the rich history, myths, and humour of the Skellig Coast. Guests will explore the sights, sounds, and aromas of our working distillery, discovering how our artisanal gin and Atlantic-aged whiskeys are crafted. The tour concludes with a tasting of our premium spirits (tasting options vary depending on the tour package selected). It’s a sensory journey through tradition, place, and spirit—rooted in the heart of Cahersiveen.

5.00We had a great experience at the distillery today. We went on a guided tour led by Shannon. She was super informative, very friendly and is fantastic at her job! The tour was really interactive and we were talked through the history of the business and the process of whiskey and gin production. It was amazing to see the machinery too! We ended the tour with a generous gin tasting, and couldn’t resist purchasing from their extensive gift shop! It was lovely to support a local, family run business, would highly recommend this experience!

5.00My dad and I had a very enjoyable experience. Our tour guide Cathal was funny, informative and a great storyteller. We learned a lot in an enjoyable way and would highly recommend it to others. The generous gin and whisky samples at the end were the cherry on top! Don't hesitate, go.

5.00Trish was amazing as a tour guide. As much as I wanted to love the gin the truth is that their whiskey is where they shine. The single pot is perfect by a fire but the small batch I pound to be my favorite as it has so much flavor and is an easy drink for whiskey lovers and newcomers alike. I have toured so many breweries and distilleries in Ireland and this is probably my favorite in terms of how welcome you are treated and how quality the drink is. Highly recommend

5.00The tour explained the production of whiskey and gin and the specific procedure of this distillery. In addition, the naming and philosophy of the company were discussed. Finally, there was a whiskey and gin tasting.

5.00Today we had a very enjoyable and interesting tour of the Skellig Six18 distillery with our enthusiastic guide, Shannon. Great experience with a detailled visit and explanation about the distillery history, the typical irish whisky manufacturing method as well as gin production with local ground aromatics. A really wonderful experience.
