The Matterhorn (Cervino) is one of the most iconic mountains in the world, located on the border between Switzerland and Italy. Standing at 4,478 meters (14,692 feet), it is renowned for its distinctive pyramid shape and breathtaking views. A popular destination for mountaineers, skiers, and tourists, the Matterhorn is part of the Pennine Alps and is a symbol of the Swiss Alps.
Breuil-Cervinia
Cervinia is a popular ski resort located in the Aosta Valley, Italy, at the foot of the Matterhorn. Situated at an altitude of 2,050 meters (6,726 feet), it offers excellent skiing conditions, particularly for beginners and intermediate skiers. The resort is part of the larger "Cervinia-Valtournenche-Zermatt" ski area, which connects to the Swiss side of the mountain, providing access to a vast network of slopes. Cervinia is also known for its long ski season, often extending from November to May due to its high altitude and access to the glacier. The town has a charming Alpine atmosphere with a variety of accommodations, restaurants, and après-ski activities.
