The history and beauty of the Alhambra was mind blowing, all explained with clarity, insight and humour by our guide Sandra. I urge anyone to come to Granada (it’s a beautiful city with warm friendly people) and visit the Alhambra. You won’t regret it! Wes K.

Interesting details, decently paced, Horatio knows the inside on this place. My advise if your feet are tired already, skip the fortress. Not really worth it. But definitely DO NOT skip the Nasrid Palace or the palace gardens.

Very interesting tour. Sandra was a wonderful guide. She was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. It should be noted that the tour is about 6 km of walking. Alhambra has quite a few steps.

The tour operator cancelled the guided tour one day before. We had made the reservation in February. The tour operator gave us an audio guide which didn’t work well at all. A total waste of our time & money. Very disappointed with Viator.

Given the price per person of 70 euros I expected a more intimate tour. There were at least 25 people in our group and I was left behind at one point after the guide invited us to take our time taking photos. The main attraction, the Nasrid palaces are closed for renovation. The gardens are beautiful, but if what you want to see is the glorious medieval moorish architechture, I suggest you visit the mosque in Cordoba or the Real Alcazar in Seville.

A day before my tour which was scheduled at 10 am they told me I had to pushback my tour to 12 pm (which I could not do due a pre planned train ticket) or take an audio guide. They had no refund exceptions at this point so I opted for the audio guide. When you do an audio guide you have to go to a secondary location to pick up your ticket and QR code which is 15 minutes walking distance from the actual Alhambra. The worker at that location spoke English but gave me very minimal information about how to actually enter the site and use my ticket and also the fact that the audio guide is actually accessed through your own phone rather than a headset you pick up. This made me waste 45 minutes looking for the entrance and figuring out that the audio guide was to be only accessed through your phone. Unfortunately no one told me this so I didn’t have headphones nor the proper wifi connectivity to even use the guide. The “tour” purchase merely became an entry ticket to certain sites for me at this point for which was very difficult enough to find the entry itself. I’d highly avoid the self audio guide option here.
