My husband and I spent 4 hours with a private tour guide named Larry. He took us through the battle in order from day 1 to day 3. He was extremely knowledgeable, and the time we spent with him was so worth it! We highly recommend seeking him out if you are ever in the area of Gettysburg, Pa.

Toured the battlefield via a travel guide in my vehicle. Guide's name was Erik (last name?). He was absolutely the best!! We enjoyed our tour to the max! The town had plenty of good restaurants, but getting to them was a pain. The main areas were all parking meters, which were hard to figure out how to use & very expensive. All of the townspeople agreed with me on that, but all said there was nothing that could be done. I would suggest they use their ballot on the pols. I probably would have tripled my $$ spent there for 2 days, if there were easier parking, regardless of prices for parking.

Everything about our visit to Gettysburg was awesome, truly awesome. Except it was cloudy & cold. Where we stayed was close to all but 1 place we wanted to visit. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We took the 3 hour guided driving tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and we could have spent another hour with him. We could not have asked for more

I absolutely loved this trip! Our personal guide, Paul, a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel, provided us his unique insight and knowledge on battle tactics, which was so valuable and made for an incredible experience as he drove us through all the battlefield sites. Paul's knowledge and perspective was beyond impressive, his enthusiasm and immersive storytelling brought history to life for us, and he was incredibly patient with our questions as we toured the battlefield. I highly recommend doing the longer 3 hour tour to experience this pivotal battle in US history. We learned so much as Paul's words gave life to the story of the battle of Gettysburg over those 3 days in July 1863, and its historical significance as a turning point of the Civil War.

I booked three 2 hour tours. I asked that Tour 1 would focus on day 1 battles, Tour 2 on day 2, and Tour 3 on day 3 Gettysburg. Our guide Bill T was great. He was very knowledgeable about all of the important events. His explanations were easy to follow and understand. Bill really brought the essence of the battles to life. Great
