Everything about our visit to Gettysburg was awesome, truly awesome. Except it was cloudy & cold. Where we stayed was close to all but 1 place we wanted to visit. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We took the 3 hour guided driving tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and we could have spent another hour with him. We could not have asked for more

I absolutely loved this trip! Our personal guide, Paul, a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel, provided us his unique insight and knowledge on battle tactics, which was so valuable and made for an incredible experience as he drove us through all the battlefield sites. Paul's knowledge and perspective was beyond impressive, his enthusiasm and immersive storytelling brought history to life for us, and he was incredibly patient with our questions as we toured the battlefield. I highly recommend doing the longer 3 hour tour to experience this pivotal battle in US history. We learned so much as Paul's words gave life to the story of the battle of Gettysburg over those 3 days in July 1863, and its historical significance as a turning point of the Civil War.

I booked three 2 hour tours. I asked that Tour 1 would focus on day 1 battles, Tour 2 on day 2, and Tour 3 on day 3 Gettysburg. Our guide Bill T was great. He was very knowledgeable about all of the important events. His explanations were easy to follow and understand. Bill really brought the essence of the battles to life. Great

A born educator and a delightful person, our guide Erik provided my wife and me with a perfect and memorable journey through the timeline, places, personalities and historic drama of Gettysburg Battlefield. It is worth every penny and more.

I can’t recommend this tour enough. The tour guide was knowledgeable informative and engaging. He was able to keep our history buff son engaged and learning as well as us not so well studied family members. He really brought it all to life and helped us fully understand all the aspects of such an eventful few days. This is definitely not an experience you can gain on your own. I 100% recommend everyone experience this and hire them to give you a tour.

First, I am not a history buff. My Father was, and he passed away before he could take his trip to Gettysburg. I decided to take a few days and go to Gettysburg, as I was intrigued to learn about what my Dad was interested in and why. Well, August 2nd was my lucky day. I was placed with the BEST guide that the site has. Mr. Robert W. (Bob) Steenstra. His passion for what he does is unparalleled. By the first stop, I was hanging on every word and taking note of the positions he was pointing to. Halfway in, he gets so passionate about the stories that he is telling, that I find myself getting emotional. He knows it THAT WELL, and takes you with him on that journey. This man isn't simply a tour guide, he is a top expert of the Battle of Gettysburg. Whether you are deep into into Civil War History or just want to casually learn what happened, Bob is the best there is. If you can get him for a private tour, I encourage you to take it. He will keep you on the edge of your seat and you will retain what he says, as his delivery is amazing. Ask him to tell you about Lincoln's speech. Enjoy!
