A holiday in Rome without visiting the Vatican is like a day at the beach without swimming in the sea. See the best of the Vatican museums and gain direct entrance with skip-the-line access to the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica, while our excellent guides entertain you with stories that go with each masterpiece.
This budget-friendly tour is the best value for money for travelers that are interested in 1) seeing the museum’s highlights 2) meeting a new friend or two through your group and 3) skipping the lines (trust us, with over 6 million tourist spilling into the museum every year, you'll want it!)
Disclaimer: you will be entering the Vatican museum during one of the busiest times of the day. While the tour provides skip-the-line access, the crowds in the museum vary from day to day and some delay with security can be expected (it would be misleading for other tour operators to not tell you this!)
Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
Public transportation options are available nearby
Suitable for all physical fitness levels
Unforeseen events= The Vatican is its own country and therefore the Pope can decide also last minute to close St. Peter’s Basilica for ad hoc events. It is a very rare event during the year but it is possibile and we will do our best to inform you. If it is too late to inform you, our guide will extend the tour in the Vatican. Not to worry that the incredibile collection of Vatican Museums and the masterpiece of Michelagelo in the Sistine Chapel will still be included.
Most of our tours include the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. However, there are two specific options with different inclusions. You will find below:

Borgo
Meet your tour guide at our office, located in the oldest neighbourhoods of the Vatican, Borgo Pio. Following a self introduction by your guide, you will walk through the charming shops of the Borgo, as he/she shares some local tips for eating and site seeing in Rome, including off the beaten track sites that you must visit during your holiday! Some background will also be provided on the history of the Sistine Chapel (we do it here as the chapel forbids noise and travellers are expected to observe silence once entering).
Via Della Conciliazione
Admire the flags and surrounding embassies as you walk through this street, which serve as the primary access point to St. Peter's Square, and by extension, to the Vatican City itself.

I took my tour on November 7th with Carl as my guide, and I absolutely have to give him his flowers. From start to finish, he was AMAZING—truly top-tier at what he does. Carl went above and beyond throughout the entire day, giving detailed explanations, sharing fascinating insights, and making every stop feel meaningful. You can tell he’s passionate about his work, and it really shows in the way he connects with people and brings each place to life. I’ve traveled to 10 countries so far and experienced countless tours, but Carl stands out as the best tour guide I’ve ever had. His professionalism, knowledge, energy, and genuine care for the group made the day unforgettable. If anyone is lucky enough to get Carl as their guide, they’re in for an exceptional experience.

It was well worth paying for the guided tour. Our guide Roberto was fantastic! He had an infectious passion for the art and history of the Renaissance and Vatican City and for the life and work of Michaelangelo. I would recommend this trip to anybody who has an interest in history, religion or art. You do also get to skip the queues which were very big when we went despite being outside of the peak tourist season.

Very enjoyable with a very good guide. There is a lot of walking and standing so you need to be fit. Would definitely recommend as a must do if you're in Rome.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable. Answered questions and efficiently got our group through everything the description says it will the Vatican museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. I underestimated how much walking and how busy the Vatican Museums would be but that isn't something tour guide can control and it is a Jubilee year. You move through the museums fairly quickly but necessary to be able to cover it all. Tour ends at St. Peter's Basilica and then have as much time as you want to go your own pace and look around. It being a Jubilee year we were able to wait in short line to go through Holy Doors only opened every 25 years. Overall visting these sites is very worthwhile when visiting Rome and having a guide makes it much more stress-free to navigate but you do need to go at the same pace as your group which at times can be slower or faster than you would on your own.
