We had high expectations for this guided walking tour, but unfortunately, it fell short. Despite the strict note in the booking guidelines that late arrivals would be left behind, the guide himself arrived late. He then ran around trying to locate other guests, wasting more valuable time. As a result, we started significantly late, which derailed our plans and forced us to cut parts of the tour short. More concerning was the guide’s handling of a simple misunderstanding. Nowhere in the initial briefing was it made clear that video recording was not allowed. I began filming parts of Pompeii with no footage of the guide only to be abruptly reprimanded 15 minutes in. The tone and delivery were unnecessarily harsh and publicly humiliating. A skilled guide handles such moments with grace and discretion. Instead, I was treated in a way that alienated and embarrassed me, and it ruined what should have been a memorable experience. A little respect and emotional intelligence would’ve gone a long way

Italo was wonderful and informative, a delight to listen to. He is a font of information regarding the ruins in Pompei, making quite the impression. He seldom (if at all) deviated from the game plan. Highly recommend this tour WITH Italo!
