  Loved the cable car and the scenic rail journey. We upgraded to Gold Class which was so worth it. Our host IC was outstanding. It was incredibly hot and I did feel the amount of time spent In Kuranda was a little long as unable to find somewhere cool.

  This is a wonderful experience, even though the train was canceled. The rainforest and falls are gorgeous. Kuranda is a wonderful town with fun things to do.

  If you don’t like shopping you can pay to see a butterfly sanctuary, a bird sanctuary, or a Koala exhibit. Both the gondola ride and train were wonderful.

• Skyrail is very nice, but the town is too small to stay all day

  Our package included taking the Skyrail up in the morning, and the train back late in the afternoon, The ride up in the gondolas is beautiful. However, we arrived at the small town of Kuranda and at least half of the stores and restaurants were closed, and there are not very many to bedin with. We found out later that most places close on Monday (which it was), but there was no mention of this from Viator, or the tour company, or anyone along the way. After walking around to all the closed stores, we just cut our losses and called an Uber to take us back to Cairns ($60A). I'm sure we would have enjoyed it more if there were more places open. My recommendation is to just get the Skyrail roundtrip ticket.

  Pick up from a nearby hotel info from driver great day out loved the Skyrail and Kuranda train and the gold class service and refreshments were fantastic
