This was an incredible day! Our guide, Dani, was bright, friendly, funny, and very knowledgable. The trip from Sorrento to Pompei is a scenic bus ride and is very enjoyable. Pompei was striking. What a privilege to see it. Our tour guide, Marco, was an amazing addition to the trip and really made it spectacular. One practical element that I believe everyone should know - you MUST be able to walk long distances! And if you are going to Mt Vesuvius you should know that it includes a HIKE to the top! It’s not the full mountain by any means, but it includes steep inclines and may be difficult for those with physical limitations, as well as children or elderly. My partner and I are pretty average in the physical fitness dept and made it up just fine by taking breaks when needed. The experience overall is incredible and I highly recommend it!

It was a unique experience for our family to visit an archaeological site and a volcano. The meeting place was easy to find in downtown Sorrento. Daniella our tour guide and driver Luigi were excellent as well as the archaeologist tour guide in Pompeii. I recommend this trip.

Great tour experience made easy, bus took us right to Pompei, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and got us right inside with no wait . We got there as soon as it opened so it was not crowded, our guide was able to find shade to explain what we were seeing and we had headphones so we could hear her clearly. . Incredible experience, I would highly recommend. Wear sunscreen and a hat

This a full day tour allowing you to visit Part of the Pompei ruins and museum , as well us a bus ride up to a hike, that people may chose to take up to the top of Mt Vesuvius . Our guides were great at trying to tailor our experiences to what parts of Pompei we would find the most interesting for the time we had allotted. (You cannot see all of the ruins unless you spend 3 days there .) The bus ride up and down Vesuvius has many hairpin turns and our driver was so skilled!

On 20/05/2026 whilst on holiday in Sorrento, myself and my husband went on the Pompeii and Vesuvius trip through tour company Iamme Ia. I had pre-booked this trip before we left England. We met up with the group outside the tour office in Tasso Square at 0730 hours and walked from there about five minutes away to the bus station where we boarded the coach. Our tour guide was Dani and she was excellent. Her knowledge of the surrounding Sorrento area was brilliant and was provided to us during the drive to Pompeii. At Pompeii we were handed over to another tour guide who had specialist knowledge of Pompeii and made sure we saw all the sights without being in very long queues as we were one of the first tours given admittance first thing in the morning. This was a very good move as Pompeii really started to fill out with people towards the end of this part of the tour. After the Pompeii tour we were handed back to Dani who took us back to the coach and we were taken to a restaurant for lunch. Myself and my husband had brought a packed lunch with us due to dietary requirements. There were Portaloo’s in the garden of the restaurant that you could use at no charge. Restaurant admission was only allowed if you were buying something. In the afternoon we were taken to Vesuvius and given free time to climb the volcano which me and my husband did. The guidance on wear good footwear and take your time is good advice. Most people were at the top of the volcano in about 30 mins. I’m not part mountain goat and so it took myself and my husband about 45 mins and the views were really good. Coming down is as hard as going up but is quicker, you’ve been warned and pace yourself! A really well organised trip with an excellent guide. Would recommend using this tour company for this trip to anyone.

The tour was amazing, but since it included Mt Vesuvius, I wish we had more time in Pompeii. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate and didn't have the proper experience on Mt Vesuvius due to the clouds.

Dani was our guide from Sorrento to Pompeii and did a wonderful job explaining all of the sites along the drive. She’s a local and had a great perspective on things. When we arrived at Pompeii we were greeted by our guide who did an excellent job navigating the ruins and telling us all about the history of Pompeii. Even though it was a busy day she did a great job getting us to all the big attractions.
