Travel in a heated, winterized Mercedes Sprinter van, relax at our mobile Aurora lodge, enjoy a twilight campfire meal, and sip drinks from our Borealis Brew Bar. Receive unlimited Aurora portraits from our pro photographers, plus night-lapse video and tripod rentals.
We’re the only tour with an Aurora Guarantee: If no Aurora is visible to the eye or camera on a “guaranteed night,” you get a 50% refund or free rebooking.
Disclaimer: A guaranteed night is based on real-time conditions. If any Aurora is visible by eye or camera, the night is considered fulfilled.

What To Expect
Fairbanks
As our home base, Fairbanks is one of the best locations in the world for Northern Lights viewing — located directly under the Aurora Oval. Each night, our SkyChase™ tour departs from Fairbanks and uses the Lights-for-Life™ Formula to determine the optimal location outside the city for clear skies and strong activity.
Murphy Dome
Murphy Dome is one of the highest accessible points in the Fairbanks area and occasionally used on clear-sky nights for its panoramic views and low light pollution. It’s a prime example of the remote high-elevation locations our team accesses while chasing the Aurora.

5.00Just wow. Tony was very knowledgeable and friendly. There was a decent amount of cloud coverage but they managed to find a clear spot and man did we get lucky with the show nature put on that night. So excited to have the photos and time lapse as well!

3.00We met at the pickup location and everyone was on time. Tony and Brandon were the guides and they were so amazing- energetic, knowledgeable, nice. We were promised hot drinks and reindeer sausage over the fire. Once we got to the site reindeer sausages were never offered. Tony took amazing photos and Brandon was hyping everyone up. No warming tent followed us and the van was very cold. The temp was kept on defrost so the vents didn't blow out any heat at all. Overall an okay experience, could have been better. For the price, should have included everything offered. It also ended an hour early and we only went to one location.

5.00Tony and his son were absolutely amazing! We initially were supposed to have our tour the day before but they informed us of the low probability and offered a rescheduling option. We opted for the next night instead and so glad we did! Our guides were very fun, optimistic, and knowledgeable. This was our first time seeing the aurora. Did not disappoint! Highly recommend this tour group. They WILL try to find the lights for you.

5.00Unfortunately our trip was canceled because of weather but this is why I’m writing & giving them a five star rating. The company 100% guarantees (no hidden rules) their experience. Not many companies stand behind and put as much effort into providing a bucket list experience. They were corresponding with me 72hours before our trip and gave daily updates. I will absolutely use them again. I will most assuredly recommend them. As a bonus the representative I spoke with (when we canceled our 100% refundable trip) gave me other suggestions on what to do in and near Fairbanks (based on the current local weather) we did two of the three she recommended. We were sad to miss their experience but we had a fantastic day in Fairbanks and I thank skychase for that!!

5.00This tour was an easy and quick experience for a solo traveler. My tour guide and photographer, Andrew, was exceptional! I’ll definitely return next winter and will bring someone special next time.🔥 By the way, we were fortunate during KP3.6 we witnessed Aurora twice between 10:30 p.m. and 1 a.m.

5.00The night was forecasted as a “maybe” for viewing. Driver did an excellent job of exploring the availability and we had a fantastic experience viewing the dancing lights. The pick up and drop off was especially appreciated.

5.00Absolutely fantastic guides! Father and son team who were engaging, determined, and experts on local wildlife and all things Alaska! It was extremely low probability due to cloud cover and activity, but they hunted it down and found an absolute perfect area where the Lights EXPLODED! It was an epic night even by their standards. Would not have happened had they not went the extra mile! Photography was 10/10 and did justice to what your eyes were seeing. GO SEE THE AURORA WITH THESE FOLKS! You won't regret it!

5.00This tour has been one of the highlights of my life! Nicole was absolutely amazing—she helped us with advice and snow gear, and her conversation made the whole experience even better. She truly made us feel right at home from the start. The experience that night was breathtaking. We were lucky to see incredible auroras in a beautiful environment. Everything was so well thought out: music, drinks, snacks, and warm places to relax and enjoy the moment. I loved every part of this experience and would recommend it without hesitation!

5.00This experience was amazing! Everyone was super professional and it was awesome to see the guides as excited as we were to see the lights! They helped us with our camera settings and answered any questions about the Northern Lights and photography. The campfire added to the experience and they even had an on-site bathroom! Highly recommend and would definitely do it again!!
