• Spectacular views from Skyrail and train

  It was a fantastic way to spend a hot summer day! Recommend train in the morning since it is not air conditioned- would be much hotter in the afternoon! The sky rail gondola had a lovely breeze keeping us cool on the way down! The views are spectacular from both train and gondola and the village of Kuranda is nice with some local artists galleries for original trinkets. Highly recommend- left the Esplanade area around 9am and returned by 4p- plenty of time to still enjoy the Cairns downtown in the evening!

  Skyrail experience was amazing but we were disappointed with the bus tour service. The bus driver forced us to wake up our infant and hold her in our hands when she finally took a nap after a long, hot and humid day. We were forced to not use the car seat in the bus. Although there were front seats available (occupued by regular people) which were supposed to be wheelchair or families with infants accessible, but even after requesting the bus driver multiple times, we were asked to sit in the back seats and were told “too bad that the car seat won’t fit in the back seat and am sorry that the front seats are already taken”. I would not recommend DOWN UNDER TOURS to anyone traveling with infants. The buses do not allow infant car seats which may put baby’s life at risk in the event there is an accident.

• Fantastic experience in kuranda

  We were met by the guide and taken to the sky rail departures point for our skyway journey above the rain forest. There was two,optional stops on the way to our final stop which was Kuranda delightful and picturesque village was amazing, After our time in kuranda we took the kuranda train back down to Cairns the journey was fantastic and very informative.

  we expect to see the 130 million year forest but nothing much actually. after the first stopover from cable , we thought the walk way into forest is at least a 45 mins walk , but to our surprise , 5 mins track and back to cable caR

  The Skyrail was great, as well as the train. The forest was beautiful. We enjoyed Kuranda. We met a lovely family from Finland.
